    Dude. Is that Steam icon at the top right?

    Please tell me it's true, that it runs Steam games.
  • 5
    @kileak It sure does :) Just installed tf2 and skyrim, both runs around 25-30 fps or over :)

    @Redo GODDAMN.

    That's way better than I expected.

    Which means Torchlight 2 and all my obscure ass indie games should work at full speed then!

    Thank you sir, you've just made me poorer but I'll be a happier man.

    @kileak glad to hear :P

    Just went to order one, and decided to hold back.

    It's awsome, but the tech is 'almost' there.

    So I will wait.

    Just saw Fallout 3 running on it on 60fps.

    Argh. The pain.

    Tyranny just came out today as well, and I bet it'll run perfectly on this....

    I have a really upgraded version of that, it's called an iPhone

    Is the GPD legit though? I have been holding back on buying one because it seems a bit sketchy.

    @NODE I asked the same, i received mine (10 days ago) exactly when i got my tracking nr from them which is really annoying, since i was abroad at the time so tr nr could've been useful BEFORE receiving the product.. Other than that, they seem to be doing what they said. And if you don't trust them, you can always buy their product from a 3rd party site.

    @manbearpigcode
    Phones are amazing pieces of hardware. I just want a way to run full desktop applications while on the go without lugging around a laptop.

    I have a portable keyboard and mouse I use to develop on my phone. It's just missing some of the software I use.

    I guess there is always remote desktop applications.

    Was considering one of these but instead opted to find one of the few Nvidia Shield gen 1 devices (32GB + LTE) instead.

    Just waiting for my controller now :3

    @manbearpigcode I would have agreed if you said Android or even Windows phone.

    But the iPhone software ecosystem is one of the most restrictive systems I've ever come across.

    @manbearpigcode try running any x86 program and get a desktop environment on an iphone, retard...

    @kwilliams
    What ever happened to those?

    @manbearpigcode I'd consider that a downgrade not an Upgrade. If you install Linux and Steam OS and get it to boot let us all know so we can then congratulate you on upgrading your PoS NSA data sending device.

    On another note, this thing looks really cool kind of reminds me of the OLD Nokia NGage for some reason.

    @nerd-san the 32GB LTE models were not hitting the mark, sales wise. So Nvidia brought out the K1 model with the same hardware but only 16GB of storage and no LTE which they can sell much cheaper (€200 vs €350).

    The K1 variant sells pretty well and is still available from a lot of retailers (along with the SHIELD Controller).
