    C master race.

    Later the students get so used to it they use turbo c till 7th semester cause allows to write them void main()

    Apart of an old IDE used, I see nothing bad in C.

    C is cool. It has some useful things like creating my own terminal applications. So there's that. And it dives pretty well into how stack and heap memory works intrinsically. So in hindsight it's a good language to learn how the wheel works, I guess.

    just a friendly reminder ... is the only language that will never die ... and it's the main language if you do computer engineering around the world

    @mfa13: I don't know anyone who uses C
  • 1
    @xroad Well, Linux is written mainly in C.

    @xroad that definitely doesn't mean that it's dead also you can try intel, linux and unix, ...... etc but sure c is not the language for building webapps

    @mfa13 Oh, silly me. I thought programming is not only about web apps.

    If you work in embedded you'll be doing a lot of C coding. I develop software for ADAS/autonomous vehicle systems and I write C.

    @killdashnine hey! I'm useful for something

    @Username well if it's sarcasm. ... buddy i was replying to him not to you but still i agree with what you said and it's obvious the op is a beginner programmer. .... and if you are joking nice one

    I didn't say that no one uses C or that it's a dead language. But it's far from the "main language" if you want to be a programmer. In fact right now it's ranked comparatively low on the list of desirable skills that employers look for.

    even here in lebanon they teach us c language to write it in turbo c wtf guys 😂

    I mean I wrote some C and C++ in uni in the US.

    @mfa13 I'm not anti C at all! i love it. The rant was against pathetic infrastructure and the backward attitudes of so many Indian programming teachers.

    @Username Yes there's nothing bad. Just the obstinacy in using that one particular old ide. I'd gladly do it in vi;)

    Still better than pascal
