    Ideas are worthless. Who cares about ideas? Let’s cure cancer by bombing the planet! Execution is way more important than thinking things through

    @d-fanelli your idea is worthless

    I agree.
    Looking at the best or most successful products in the market today not many of them would be considered "brilliant ideas" if you put the idea itself on paper.

    There are not too many ideas which in themselves are brilliant enough to be an easy guaranteed success for anyone who happened to get them first.

    @Demolishun it would be really sad except I have no more shits to give.

    I thought it starts with an idea which is then executed? What does one execute if there is no idea?

    @Wisecrack their main product is called IntelliJ IDEA https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/
    All the IDE offerings are based on it and create an .idea folder in each project.

    Guess it's to far fetched.

    I guess the sentiment of the quote is that people tend to focus on having an idea but don't do anything with it so both idea and execution are worthless on there own unless they ate used together.

    I still disagree. Ideas have value even when they are not executed. Some are ideologies that provide a guideline others provide insights/new concepts that spark other more concrete ideas. In idea can also be shelved and sold (like patents) as intellectual property the hold value for future possible executions.
