    @thmnmlst well, the way the education system works here, what you know is immaterial. All they want is for you to answer the questions asked in the exams. And where are the questions and answers they expect? Yep, these books.

    @azuredivay Yep. The syllabus has been stagnant since 2010. If you think that's bad, we had a subject where we had to manually write object code for a given assembly program (like simple addition, etc). That was a pain in the ass.

    @thmnmlst agreed!

    @aronnebrivio it'll be a long time before that happens here.

    Programing here is still on paper for all exams 😂

    @thmnmlst I prefer real books over e-books anytime!

    @Prutser When I read a book on programming I prefer using ctrl+f to cut the bullshit

    @zfor well... what can I say?? I love flipping pages.

    Flipping them gently, flipping them angrily, ripping them up when necessary, etc.

    @Prutser Oh I prefer paper as well for reading for fun. When you get angry, it's cheaper to ruin, than a tablet :D

    @Prutser I miss days when I used to sleep on books in school. They are somehow more comfortable than pillows.

    @flag0 Nothing can be as restful as falling asleep during class.

    @tild3 Oh I learned Perl in 2012 and HTML 4 in 2013-14
    I know that feel

    I dont think I've bought a single textbook.... Except for "Drupal 7 explained". I don't know why I had to go over that.

    @basanth yep! You're right 😂

    @thmnmlst I learn from "real" books all the time. I actually enjoy not staring at a computer after doing so for 8 hour at work. ;)

    @mzgaljic that's true. I also have a Kindle on which I can load PDFs. The e-ink display is beautiful.
