@aviophile Blanking your mind and focusing on your senses, feeling your environment. I guess.

Literally the only time I feel good at the moment is when I've got enough alcohol intus. Still, only a temporary solution to a permanent problem.

I don't know about you, but if I was always happy/content I would probably never improve.

So instead I'd say the question is how do you get happy/content in the first place. To which Id say: follow the Maslow pyramid, and try to do anything you can to fill each step to the best of your abillities from bottom up.

You will never be truly happy all the time, but you can get to the happy spot easier once you have all of those steps filled sufficiently.

Weed and parrots (don't mix the two, you'll end up with just one of those things).

I read devrant posts about my fellow devs shitty experiences, and realise that my own life is not so bad!

Happiness is a decision, so is being content. I’m always happy because I decide to be, and never content because if I were, I’d never improve. Simple as that.

try to see something positive in every day and after a while you kinda train your brain with this to see something positive everywhere?

It was recommended to me to get a notebook, in which I would write down something nice that happened that day, every day. It can be super small like, "the weather was nice" or "I had a nice coffee". And because you do this on a regular basis you train your brain into being more overall positive.

On the other hand, I thought that once i have my masters I would feel like a weight got lifted of my shoulders. well, that didn't happen. At all. Which makes me sad...
