Is it just me, or is it the worst possible time to jump into coding for Apple products?

I remember trying to figure out Xcode a few years back and making some small bit of headway. More recently it seems that all the old tutorials in Objective-C are out-of-date, and half the Swift ones won't compile because of mutually incompatible versions...
