    God I hate security questions... The "security" they provide is non-existant... I usually put 20+ random characters in there because if someone can get into my account just by knowing what was the make of my first car or the name of my dog or something easily found using google than I don't need a password at all... Worst "security" feature ever invented...

    Security questions came from the muggles using technology. It was supposed to encourage stronger passwords than "fido1609". Since their passwords are generally the same as the answers to those questions anyway, it makes "the experience" better for the muggles to type.

    As with any well-meaning idiot prevention, the universe fast-tracks the invention of better idiots.

    I site I used had an address lookup, so I used it to populate the address fields. It then moaned the address it entered itself was too long. WTF?

    I see those questions as cumbersome extra-passwords that I'm forced to add as notes in LastPass. I just generate long strings.
