Imagine what PHP could be, if its native API wasn't still based on a C-like pile of turds, abused by below average coders...
On can just dream 😢

I like PHP a lot, but man, the PHP job offerings I've seen...
99% WorstPress, Typo3 or Joomla in companies that exist for 15 years and have just recently started to use Git.
Even with a 6 figure salary I couldn't bear the desolation of working for such single-celled organisms.

The problem with PHP and WordPress isn't that they are bad ideas in themselves. It's that they lower the barrier to entry. And I disagree that "C-like" should be associated with "pile of turds".

@LinusCDE Yeah, love the guy. Sadly he is right, too much legacy shit is out there and breaking compat would mean WW3 😄
I just wish they'd move the old API into an legacy extension enabled by default for a few years, so people can move on.

@d4ng3r0u5 WorstPress is an absolutely abysmal CMS (architecture- & security wise), but I agree with you on the other points.

Woah wait, you've actually seen a request for Typo3 developer?
I have to use Typo3 for some of my work.
I hate it. I hate everything about it.
I'm quietly persuading all new projects to be built in Laravel :D
