What do you thing about a manager who doesn't communicate with the team (2 developers)? It would even go to months without even asking our progress or if we find some difficulties or if the missions are okay ,challenging or make us improve. I still don't have a vision for my carreer and the company seems to care less about what i feel or if i'm satisfied or not. Please What do you think. I would be grateful if you share with me any advice.

Have you talked with your manager?

It raises all kinds of red flags, as no involvement at all is a disturbing way to handle management

@IntrusionCM Not only that , but also we are dealing with a difficult client, he presented as as experts when we have just graduated like 5 months ago. Im still a junior and this is my first full-time job, so i don't know how i can approach and talk to him about this, and if it's gonna affect me later in a negative way.

@yume career conversations with your manager should never negatively affect you. The responsibility and reason to have managers and seniors is to mentor juniors and help guide them to move up, it’s not just who is most skilled. If you’re worried about repercussions, frame it as a career progression discussion. It is odd there are no 1 on 1s or checkins…I mean good on you for delivering that they feel they don’t have to, but it’s still weird. Ask for the guidelines for progression (what do I have to learn or do to get to the next level or pay increase) and see where that goes. Suffering in silence doesn’t help the company or you.

@atrabilious Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. As a junior, i really need some guidance as you've said whether in terms for work or career. The internal communication in the company is pretty much not existing. It feels as if i don't belong to the company. I thought of quitting every single day, but i hold on since i don't want this to affect my CV. As you've advised me, I'll try to talk to the manager and see where it goes. Again, Thank you so much for your reply .
