Plus size model commercials of fat women wandering around in their underwear is really cutting into my concentration and frightening me about the future of our species.

A moment of zen nicely contributed by a video of a confused fat feminist talking about being silenced, and the like, and then defending the muslim religion which historically is the enemy of women :P @TeachMeCode

Land wales are nothing but pseudo feminist because they can't get laid.

If someone has difficulty digghing themselves out of a fat spiral I get that.
I weighed 230 lbs when I was a developer around the time my piece of shit mother died after our 3rd or 4th 2008 recession.

Prior to that I went through a very long time period of constant walking long marches and exercise, and yeah it draws you in and you get lazy, and effort doesn't seem to reward quick enough and depression sets in.

But this shit below. I can't even believe this.

    https://youtube.com/watch/...
  • 2
The irony of societal norms defining what we find attractive. Now it's skinny because it's a sign you have the money to exercise, it was historically reversed as it meant you could afford to eat.
  • 0
    @rutee07 jesus
  • 0
@atheist yeah but morbidly obese wasn’t attractive
    Money was attractive

I see the opposite all the time lately
Guys getting hot over curveless skeletons
  • 2
@AvatarOfKaine No, money wasn't attractive, the physique was attractive, it was attractive *because* it was associated with money. In some parts of the world it still *is* considered attractive.

    https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story/...
  • 1
@atheist well thank god we used to live in a culture where health was physically attractive then before we were conquered by nazi chomos
  • 3
@AvatarOfKaine You think health is now attractive? I mean, to reach a six pack as a guy you need levels of body fat so low you're basically unhealthy. It's insanely hard to maintain because for most "low calory" situations, your body thinks it's being starved and so shuts down. (I'm an ex gym instructor).

Or unattainable standards of beauty. A lot of the images of models you see are fictitious representations, so photoshopped to be unrecognisable from the original (see the classic https://youtu.be/Hnvoz91k8hc )

Removing commercialised representations of beauty has actually been shown to have benefit, see https://youtu.be/TBIL2sdfoVcp

@atheist who’s talking about guys ? I see lots of women who keep their weight down without overdoing it and still have a rosy healthy sheen to them that keeps their skin lustrous

And I don’t think a veinous mass is healthy
I think being fit is healthy and not so fat your blood pressure rises to pre heart attack levels
  • 0
@atheist I walked 14 miles the other day and took in about 3500 calories

If I’d run 5 instead and done weight training in a few months I’d start seeing resulting a and I don’t mean bench pressing 200lbs I mean bench pressing 100 and doing other targeted exercises

You most certainly can obtain ordinary beauty and health

But youth and health are what is considered most beautiful and that doesn’t always mean super hot

    Doesn’t mean stick thin either

Did you see the women we ogled in my age group?

Point is you’re kind of sounding like her

I’ve been extremely fit and healthy but yeah it’s a real time investment for a German Irish English person like myself who is heavy on the German part who tend to get kind of rotund as they get older

    I tend towards in between

And yeah it is hard to be perfect but who’s talking perfect ?

I have found plenty of lil chubby women with nice tits and asses and cute faces and or personalities sexy

    And they weren’t perfect..
  • 0
@atheist but they weren’t obese either

I’m not going to pollute my mind with that shit you posted

As a chubby kid I reserve the right to comment and say I got chubby because I quit sports and sat on my ass and ate a lot

It’s not the pressure my parents put on me that discouraged my getting thinner sooner

    Not seeing beauty ads
    Or images of hot guys

Luckily puberty set in and I found some porn and we had a treadmill lol
  • 1
@atheist Gonna suggest that engaging with someone who writes 'we were conquered by nazi chomos' without irony is probably not going to be the most edifying experience.
  • 0
    @atheist also who said starve
Exercise and don’t eat a ducking whole cake with your face iced on it you fool lol

That’s what this bitch does lol

You don’t stay that big and exercise because you don’t eat too much
  • 1
@MM83 amusingly in all cases I’m making true statements while you people engage in sophism

He launched into the standard lineup of bluster that people who overfeed their children engage in

The topic in question is a 300 lb 5 foot tall 3” chick who eats whole birthday cakes and claims she’s healthy influencing other people towards eating themselves to death and not even trying to remain healthy
  • 1
@MM83 and in essence we have been conquered by nazi pedophiles

I see them every day with children who don’t age across the years
  • 2
@AvatarOfKaine "you people" - love to know who I'm being lumped with. Actually, I can probably guess.

Don't care about the subject matter either way, wondering what the hell it has to do with being a dev. Either way, this post says more about you than her.

    Night.
  • 1
@MM83 night sweet prince may a cascade of dreams of dancing children lift you off to hell
  • 1
    @AvatarOfKaine get help, mate.
  • 1
@MM83 is that in your parlance where I fuck one of you people and make myself look complicit or where I make some kind of deal that fucks me over while you people railroad me through the justice system for simply being alive and the son of some awful monster whose generation was saturated with sadists who liked ruining their children’s lives ? I’m trying to understand since historically you people don’t speak English with the same meaning I do
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine it would seem that we don't.
  • 1
    > Pic related.
  • 3
Oh, what kind of train wreck is this thread?
  • 1
@Root one you just contributed too lol
  • 1
@Root oh look here we are Again
Something I seem to say daily lately
  • 1
I'm pretty sure the intent of lingerie shows is to uh, sell lingerie? Women are more likely to buy the merch if they see models that look like them, there was even a study about this.
Sorry to break it to you, but you're not the target audience, so it doesn't matter if it caters to you
  • 0
Ah this old gem. Attraction is a product of evolution. It's a survival trait. We are attracted to the attributes that we think are likely to be beneficial for our offspring. That you are unaware of why you find some aspect of someone attractive, is because your brain takes shortcuts. See "thinking fast and slow"
  • 0
And before you say some crap about "that shit you posted", thinking fast and slow is a psychology book written by a Nobel prize winner.
  • 0
@darksideofyay doesn't mean I want to see a buffalo in a corset thanks.

but that being said, its fucked up.
and it does tie into people trying to make that level of obese become normalized and sorry we've had more than enough of that.
  • 0
@atheist I took 3 years of psych man stuffed into 2 years because my generals were already done.

I'm aware of the study about fat women being more attractive in starving cultures.

we're about 600 years past that.
and honestly I see people attracted to stick thin anorexic women because they're attracted to people they have power over so that isn't the largest effect size in play

but on that note there is nothing beneficial about heart disease and diabetes.
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine dude, even if you think it's unhealthy, you're being very mean with the name-calling... if you don't like seeing it, turn off the tv, and if you care about obesity rates, complain about that
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine true, but if the average life expectancy is such that diabetes is unlikely to be a problem, it doesn't matter.
  • 1
@atheist that is true to some degree. they say sickle cell anemia prevented maleria. but then life expectancy was low anyway.
  • 0
@darksideofyay what exactly is the point when you have fat is healthy people brainwashing people into giving up ?

besides it wasn't on tv it was on the supposedly tailored ad experience on youtube lol which plays along with other commercials that make no sense.

youd think i'd get porn ads, spitting image commercials, tech, music, travel, hell david attenborough etc

    nope.

i get two fat women in their undies with their guts hanging down to their knees.

its not even amusing like the gay guy selling man soap with the crying lumberjack.

its nasty and intrusive. sorry but it is.
and just so you know i've been overweight at points in my life and i would know not to wander around with my shirt off thanks lol
  • 1
@AvatarOfKaine the beauty of youtube is that you have to click on the video to watch it 😂

i don't think anyone is saying being fat is inherently healthy, but it's not inherently unhealthy either. even so, that's not the point, and we're not physicians (clearly, since this is devrant). calling overweight women buffalos have nothing to do with their health, and that's my problem with your argument, the comment is mean for no good reason
  • 0
@darksideofyay no see they're not modeling overweight women.
they're modeling OBESE AND MORBIDLY OBESE women. hold i'll share in the horror.
  • 0
@darksideofyay in a way what is ridiculous is this stupid shit is a welcome distraction from peope training their children to be whores who after enough reproductions can't possibly be their children because they don't age.

and i said this before so you know its true.

why can't our problems just be war or something ? wtf kind of fucked up shit is this ?

anyway on to finding the horrific ad i saw.
    anyway I can't find it
but it was an ad that flashe and wouldn't let me skip multiple times. of two women with large bellies in their underwear walking around showing off their bellies with cool smiles on their faces and sun glasses on it was like every guys nightmare related to myspace dating back in the day and they chose very young obese models so their obesity had not yet ruined EVERY part of their skin. just a bunch of them.

i didn't click on the video, it just played meanwhile all the hot girls are baby rapers. so i'm not fucking them.
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine So. I'm not going to ignore the evident agression implied by describing a person's body as horrific. Not going to address it tho.

There are medical conditions that can cause obesity. Hypothyroidism off the top of my head, a genetic condition that makes your weight much harder to manage than "being of German heritage".

If nothing else, should those people be represented in media, or should they have to hide away in a dark room?

Because the moment you concede that those people don't have to hide in a dark room, you're applying hypocritical standards of what is acceptable based on what you find attractive.
  • 0
The point isn't that one physique is "healthy", it's that it's got fuck all to do with what you think, but you've got a small mind and so have decided to throw your toys out because of something you disagree with. And are being agressive towards anyone that disagrees with you.
  • 0
@atheist because you're missing the point to begin with. the point is I'm sitting there watching a video, and a group of whales parades around during a time period when there is a whollleee movement that was designed it seems to incense men into being annoyed at it, wherein fat, likely child molesting women, pose about stroking their double chins as an advertisement I didn't want to see lol

I tell you what though, how would you like to see my ass in a man thong or banana hammock plastered on your screen ?

nice 40 year old pale white ass.
got a bit of hair growing directly above it right now since i haven't shaved my back in awhile.

probably a few zits on there too.
now everytime you go on youtube i'm going to make you look at it.

everytime, you're going to go there and look at my white 40 year old pimply ass showing off a special brand of banana hammock for chubby middle aged men, because goddamn it stop body shaming me !
  • 0
    @atheist
    I'm sexy chubby !
    I don't need 6 months in a gym at all k!
    No weight lifting !
LOOK AT MY HAIRY BALLS MEANWHILE, I HAVEN'T SHAVED THEM SINCE I WAS 35 AND RIPPED !
NICE SPILLY BUSHEL OF PUBIC HAIR CASCADING OVER THE EDGE OF MY SPECIAL BANANA HAMMOCK, BECAUSE GODDAMN IT I'M SICK OF NOT BEING SEEN FOR THE HEALTHY ROTTING BEAUTY I AM ! lol

    mmm yeah

i need to lose about 20 lbs, but I'm healthy :P
  • 0
@atheist now imagine if i needed to lose 100 lbs under the same circumstances.

and you have the ad i keep seeing which reminds me of a group of poisoned women who want to encourage other women to join them in non health until its too late to avoid being inelastic stretch bags. who likely in some cases teach their daughters this who they are overfeeding to abuse them slowly over their life to ensure they possess zero natural beauty in a society which has deemed that it is necessary to have anything.
  • 0
@atheist oh and its one thing if you can't help it but let me point you out to somenthing you jackass.

    https://youtu.be/-oXRXjkrrGQ?t=39

this lady is saying she's healthy, she's at the head of a movement of people saying this is healthy behavior.

and the reality of this is that this is not healthy at all.

so one thing led to me to discovering another and I know how these fucks think. trust me. just like there are some people with health problems who like to make other people feel like shit so they don't feel alone in being dealt a bad hand for example.

there is no room for said trash in this or any other country.

would i go out of my way to treat a large woman like a heffer ? no. but I can tell you if I had a kid I'd encourage them towards more exercise than I got as a child, and encourage them to like physical exercise because by my 20s I had learned the benefits of this, and in my 30s i was incredibly active as well.
  • 0
it's people like this fat slob and jealous 'pretty' people who are ugly inside that ruin so many others and if they get fucked in the face for being what they are or used as an oversized punching bag its not happening enough !
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine your point about do I want to see your ass on a screen, I think that's more a comment about the inherent sexism in society than personal preference, its normalised that 20 something women parade their bodies for our entertainment, not men. Not unattractive women. Not unattractive men.
  • 0
I agree that arguments about the health benefits of different lifestyles and the associated outcomes should be discussed based on facts.

But given you told me that you're "not going to pollute your mind" with the links I tried to use as reference, your argument has fuck all to do with facts too. You said that IN THIS VERY THREAD!
  • 0
@atheist no that is what people want to seeeee.
even ask women who like women, and 99% of them are not going to say they prefer to see fat unattractive women or men. that's not sexism. that's human nature.

we already argued this point, years ago.
    stop pretending we didn't.
  • 0
@atheist its because this time period is completely retarded.

the teachings of sophos have been renewed.
  • 0
@atheist don't be the traitors in our grandfathers and fathers generation that told these little bastards this shit was normal dude.

come on. die with some goddamn dignity and respectability.
  • 1
@AvatarOfKaine "people in society tell us what we want to see, it's definitely not societal norms" STFU.
  • 0
@atheist developmental characteristics effect what we want to see.

and I'll skip the most obvious example of that going haywire.

however also you know way back when fat women were the norm, we probably didn't have samantha nice or gianna michaels walking around,

hell wwomen started shaving their legs not very long ago, would you go back ?

I see women who willfully don't shave their legs and armpits and they look like circus monkies.

I even shave parts of my body at times if I expect to be seen without clothing on lol

and when I'm in shape I look damn good :P
  • 0
OK. There is very limited representation of disability in the media. I don't care if *you* want to see disability, ask a disabled person if they'd like to see their disability represented.

Anything else is the same question with extra steps.
  • 0
@atheist oh yes, and *snap* lmao
related but not on here lol
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine snap? What? I mean, I'm disabled. Don't know what else you mean.
  • 1
If you're fetishising disability, there's no hope for you.
  • 0
@atheist so, you want to see images that remind you of the aftermath of a war zone for example ?

    I don't.

I want to save war for war and peace for peace.

I'm not saying I don't have any sympathy for people who are not baby rapers, who are disabled.

Note I come back to that one classification of the most twisted disgusting type of person who permeates every other class.

No man I look at them as deserving of a good bit of help but then I also look at society in general who doesn't fit that one characteristic as deserving free basic housing, free basic food stuffs, and sanitation concerns because that is what would put alot of this stupid shit to rest in the first place.

we'd reach a point where noone went to work because the fatsos were suing for not being called beautoful, the hot chicks were suing over people noticing their breasts, the he-she's were suing over not being called by their preferred pronoun, and all the decent men would have had enough of it.
  • 1
@AvatarOfKaine I WASN'T IN A FUCKING WAR ZONE WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ON ABOUT NOW?!
  • -1
@atheist actually I'm not fetishing disability.

there are disgustingly people who do in DROVES though.

I unlike most people admit to having seen the darkest part of the world, and that kind of fucked up shit exists in very large amounts, and whats worse is the purveyors of this will MAKE people disabled and crippled and deformed to service these fucks.
  • 0
@atheist i was thinking of the uptick of people i've seen with stumps and the like lately. or who look half starved.

I really don't want more depressing shit fed to me, i just want the problems fixed, something our government has never ever done, as with last time.

    they don't fix shit.
they just offer half measures and lulz over people ripping each other a new one off the chaos being hypersensitive creates which keeps everything at a standstill
  • 0
@atheist god give me reign over the government i'll fix your problems real quick. heh. you'll have all you need to survive and be somewhat happy and still enabled to work in your obvious chosen field heh
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine yes, it's unfortunate that people lose limbs. It happens. That's no where near the only kind of disability. Avoiding looking at those people is bad. You should be able to see them as people. Seeing them as people is good.
  • 0
we could just snip the people who cause all the social problems by removing their only weapon which is the ability to cause legal and social trouble to innocent people and put them in the street. but the gov says

    https://youtu.be/8mKIuZ4tIzk?t=9

    finally found that clip heh
  • 0
@AvatarOfKaine I'm not going to pollute my head with that.
  • -1
@atheist I do see them as people, unfortunately quite a few of them in my environment are presently wandering around offering today at least for people to look directly into their stubs because quite a few sickos derive sexual excitement from staring directly into them and convert the feeling of nausea into a base form of excitment and their brain misfires and translates that into sexual excitement.

you know i can tell you I never had to see this fucked up shit in the actual 2021 and before.

people seem less sick during that time period, just a whole bunch of them were pissed they had to keep their shit in the closet it seems and were busy ruining their lives by enabling this shit.
  • 0
    @atheist you should.
    it represents our government :P

and stop trying to mock me for not wanting to read a doctored psych 'study' created by wishy washy 'people first' language embracing 'psychologists' who don't even know their science and if they do, misuse it as a propaganda tool designed to destroy society.
  • 1
A news article, a college humour video, and a Ted talk? Doctored?

I am mocking you. If you're not willing to at least engage with people's points, then people will not engage with your points.
  • 0
@atheist points of humor since you don't understand communication.

see this is what I dislike about you people.

you try to pass bizarre for ordinary, destroy common sense in my country, and meanwhile you're mostly just masquerading around pretending to be decent bleeding heart rational people.

so no i will wipe my ass with your doctored paper and make you eat it.

there is an art much practiced in this country and others where a persons plight and misery is used to underline why it is relevant and then used to make a person think rather outrageous things or start to see sense in nonsense.

twisted psychologists raping autistic kids were caught doing quite a bit of this. trying to communicate ideas that seemed sensible, that seemed to be indicative of kindness but reinforcing it with severity and ostracism, no wonder the world was confused and fucked up during this time period.

and i refuse to have my sympathies preyed on to make me a dullard. sorry.
  • 0
what seems to be sense to an ordinary male raised before the fall, becomes a jumping point for people who don't actually really even care, they just want to be severe and make someone feel l ike crap with individually directed criticisms, instead of broad ones.

like maybe i don';t want to see shamu dancing around in her underwear when I'm trying to look up a programming tutorial.

though regrettably I did fall into the trap of finding videos on fact activists alllll over again and seeing it for what it was. which is people trying to trick gullible people to ruin themselves by objectifying one individual and giving them undeserved fame to server as a positive example of something that is abhorretly negative and then some moron citing the exception as if that justifies the whole thing @atheist. we're sorry it's miserable, if it didn't feed off others misery we'd feel more sorry. I am starting to feel it doesn't have enough to be miserable about.
  • 1
@AvatarOfKaine dude, you went from: obesity is bad for health => all fat people are obese => they're promoting bad lifestyles => insulting the looks of fat women => calling them pedophiles

even if your first argument was right, chill
  • 1
@darksideofyay the dude is a full-on lunatic, I thought it was a parody at first but he really has a knack for turning ANY thread onto ‘child molesters controlling the world’ and other gourmet word salads.
