    @Ranchonyx @IntrusionCM well, if we're doing this chain:

    Don't use an OS. it's just an abstraction made for simpler people. Work directly on the hardware

    only @Root can do it.

    I am a distro-jumper... *sob*

    @Ranchonyx
    Gentoo is pretty close to that.

    I was a pretty die hard Gentoo user back in the day. I ran out of patience to compile everything from source a long time ago though.

    Just install Windows and POOF everything works. Or buy a mac, I don't care.

    Only masochists will use linux in day to day. (And love it, by definition).

    Good one, burst into laughter.

    Don't you hate on distro hopping, that's what freedom gets you, the right to switch out your whole distro just because you looked up the lead dev behind it and realized they don't have a neckbeard

    Debian is my current home btw, as of last week

    Even better: if you want to use Linux instead of googling around like a fool for each small issue take some weeks to study the logic behind UNIX-like systems, that alone should make quicker and easier to solve most issue you’ll encounter in any distro (and in BSD, Illumos, Solaris…)

    @NoToJavaScript it depends on the hardware, on some machines it works wonderfully with less configuration than Windows in other it keeps being a nightmare even if you put weeks of work in it
