Manager: The way you built this doesn’t accommodate any of my future plans!

Dev: What future plans?

Manager: I have a bunch of different ideas, I haven’t decided which ones to go with yet or how it will all work but you’re making it so we’re running out of room in the UI. It’s too busy, you need to clean it up so we can add more stuff!

@ChristoPy that's about accurate. I don't get why but programming is becoming a blue collar job. At least that is how a lot of managers/sales guys think of it. Just as you would call a plumber to fix a tap, soon people will call us to fix their memory leaks or something similar.
I don't mean to devaluate these professions but the cost of a computer science or software engineering course is much higher and unlike the other professions a programmer must keep on learning.

@anux In what profession do you not keep learning in?
  • 2
@Demolishun I meant to say the other professions are more stable.

Clean it up, cause this UI looks dirty.

@Demolishun All of them if your goal is to ride the pines and do the bare minimum all while blaming others for your failures

@anux can you imagine if the pipes and fittings required you to relearn and read documentation, and that you'd have to be paid more for it!
