OMG! I fucking hate it when people who have no idea about technology whatsoever have a conversation about some 'technical stuff' and I've got to listen to trash like:

A: "It's a wonder that all of this stuff actually works!"
B: "Yeah, I heard that it all connects over some kind of WAVES or something like that..."

FFS! I know you can't know everything, but please for the love of god ... just don't!

Well, take that chance to try and explain it to them :)

They'll either thank you or drive you mad though...

Okay I get that it's not easy to listen too. But please, don't be a pretentious douche when it comes to tech talk with the laymen. Not throwing anything at you, just want to throw it out there.

When i hear that kind if shit, it just makes me smile. When with friends if they explain something techy, they always turn to me and say 'that's right isn't it?' I always answer 'i couldn't have put it better myself' with a big grin, whatever the useless, fact less none sense they are spouting. We laugh and we move on.

@helloworld You "move on"? But... What about the "eternal grudge on those who you wronged you"?!

Sounds like two people who are intrigued but simply don't know. Nothing wrong with that.

I do get upset when a cashier at a grocery store says she spoke to someone at a bank saying the chips on cards don't actually do anything and have no benefits. 😐

I had an internship (pretty crappy one) where the boss didn't know much about technology, but tried to look otherwise.

Like we were like 4-5 in a pretty small room in a big heatwave, plus we were exposed to the sun in the afternoon so you get that it was pretty hot there.

We opened the window, but the boss closed it, pretending that "Wifi particles" will flew away by the windows because of the wind, and that would explain why we had a such bad connection.

Wifi particles that flew away by the wind.

(by the way, it was because he had a modem made for particulars and not pro, so when there is 12 people connected on it at the same time, of course it's slow. Duh.)

@DodgerAkame wow, sounds like a harsh time

I love it when I hear non-techies talk about tech stuff...Especially when in a computer store. I just float around them listening and smiling, blending into the background 😁

You know how some websites that have password input have the eye symbol, or something close to it so you can view your password? My mother in law thought it meant someone was watching you.
She is so paranoid about things like this, like she asked if "they" could see her from the TV. I pointed out that she has a regular TV without a camera, so no.

@Marowski good thing you seemingly like your mother in law....you could have had some fun lol

@akd5010 she's alright. Just ignorant when it comes to technology. Which is funny because she is a transcriptionist and types from home on a computer they provided. I feel bad for her because her tech support doesn't go down to her level to explain things.

You sir need a good pair of headphones.

@Marowski that's where her wonderful son in law can step in and earn some brownie points lol *hint hint* 😉
