Typical devrant response:
STFU Cinderblock!
Nice response:
Hi
Just to give you an idea of what you are getting into. -
@trisha Don't take the comments here too negatively, we like to joke around ;)
-
@trisha nah! You adress these Aussies as cunts..
Let me show you a demo.. @jase @real-jase @jaseTheCunt @C0D4 hey cunts..
@Demolishun a bold assumption. -
trisha1003y@Floydimus i disagree with the first part you said, what purpose does addressing someone as such serve?
-
C0D4681383y@trisha welcome to the the world behind the curtain, or better known as the circus.
@Floydimus gooooood
Morning bitch, *yawns*, good to see you still flying around these parts.
Can I go back to bed now? 😴
@Stuxnet what in the world, I thought you ran off.
@Root I hope your giving them hell. -
Root826023y@Floydimus No.
It’s not terminal, but it is extremely debilitating. I have so little energy, and even just standing makes me exhausted quickly. In order: physical exertion (esp carrying something), stress, and mental effort all can trigger really nasty effects that make me completely useless for several hours at a time. Like, collapsed in bed or a chair, out of breath, and unable to move or even think for three hours kind of useless. It all varies by the day, and over the past two months it’s been getting progressively worse. Without exaggerating, I feel maybe 1-3% of my usual? I’ve been focused on surviving, and really nothing else.
My big accomplishment for this week was mowing the lawn 😅. It took me two days to finish, with a rest day in between.
My doctor has no idea what this is or how to treat it, so I’ve been doing my own research, when I can. So far it looks like long covid mimicking the symptoms of “ME/CFS” (chronic fatigue syndrome). I’ve also made some diet changes and discovered supplements that help, and found some energy management pointers from others that definitely help.
By the time I’m done, I’ll probably have earned an honorary degree in organic chemistry from all my research into e.g. the various ATP pathways, including glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation (and especially their inhibitors, and workarounds for those). It has been helpful, but definitely not fun.
But really, I just hope this goes away some day because I’m terrified that it won’t. I feel so useless.
(I also think this is the most I’ve typed in a month.) -
@Root that sucks..
That seems like fatigue and the cause maybe COVID, maybe depression or some mental health issue.
I often feel the energy drain and fatigue when I am stressed.
When I ignore the stress and continue functioning, I burn out myself for which the recovery period is longer than usual.
Trust me, this too shall pass. Give it some time, keep your head low, and continue doing what you are best at.
Take some time off work and pursue hobbies that make you feel better. -
@Root I use Mona Vie supplement. I also take iver on occasion. In addition to vitamins, zinc, etc. Is your body having oxidative stress? MV has a lot of antioxidants.
-
Root826023y@Floydimus I’m definitely depressed and burned out, too. They’re definitely not helping, but I don’t think they’re causes.
@Demolishun 🤷🏻♀️ idk. I’ll look into it and MV. I’ve been taking Vitamin Code women’s and my own set of supplements (which includes zinc!) -
Whenever there is a new user post, old members have a meet-up in comments, wholesome.
-
@Root I take the cosco multivitamin and b complex they have. When I started taking them my body started working a little better. I also am taking 5000IU vitamin d.
-
@Root since it's spring, try getting some sun. Light gives me hope.
As @Demolishun mentioned, nutritional supplements really help. For me, being a vegetarian, we always struggled with Vitamin B12. And with being indoors with COVID, I faced a deficiency of D3.
Supplements are the driving factor behind my existence and survival now. -
@C0D4 I think you missed the memo- only good night wishes are allowed to @Floydimus
-
@Root this is terrible what you’re going through! Im sure you tried the more basic stuff (sleep, diet, hydration, exercise) and didn’t get anywhere, right?
-
Root826023y@TeachMeCode Yeah. Nothing simple helps :< I mean, those absolutely do, but nowhere near enough!
