I like the endless supply of difficult problems, I dislike the stupid people that create the problems in the first place.

Like the job, but could do without some of the people.

I rant because I love my job and want to produce quality work

    Love my job

I like being a programmer, just dislike my current work
Also I love how not a single comment until now just outright said "no I hate my job" ^^

hey hey, just because working makes me depressed doesn't mean I hate my job. I really like it, the people and everything. The projects are sometimes numbing but there are times when it's a lot of fun. I just don't handle stress well. Deadlines freak me the fuck out

So far, 9 months working as self-employed, teaching web design and Python. Elastic schedule, teaching at my own pace, no need to find students myself, WFH.

Yeah, you may find it unbelievable - but the cost is that I get only so much money, which just depends on the hours my students are willing to study at) Have to stash some for proper vacation.

Still so much better than the style of work I had in the past!

I do but nothing is perfect. So anything, especially a job, will come with frustrations. But yes, a lot of us are depressed

    @jespersh So true…some co-workers though…The incompetence (not junior!!!)

I stopped working for dev companies when my chronic pain got too bad to travel / have meetings / deal with bullshit. Now I just work on my own app, a symptom diary for people with chronic pain. I make almost no money, but I work my own hours and every morning I wake up and I *want* to work on it. I'm so much happier (and poorer) than I was.

Also I swapped iOS swift / Android Kotlin shitfest for flutter. Flutter makes me happy.

i'm currently working (temp-jobbing) one day a week from 17:30 to 00:00 in a newspaper printer.

i kinda like it. basically no brain required (even though even that is too much brain requirement for most other temp-jobbers there), i download an audiobook before going there, i basically listen to it whole during the shift, a i go home with a nice feeling of actually having done something.

from the next week, it's hopefully gonna be a 3 day a week thing.

Love the job not sure about the workplace :) Every job has ups and downs though.

Nah, i am happy with my job, my coworkers and even management now. It was quite different with the management at the last job. But even there, the work itself and the coworkers where fine.

    Well. Not everything's fine.

    But that's life.

The most terrifying and worrying part of life is when it's _too_ good.

Paranoia said already hi with a magnesium flare as I wrote it.

When life goes too well, it means that some major poop hail storm will rain down.

So. Yeah. Nothings fine, sometimes depressed, but that's okay. That's better than being on edge because everything's going perfect.

@C0D4 so you dislike the difficult problem indirectly or at least their creator.

I like what I do and though I've only just joined a new team I like them a lot. I do find it incredibly stressful tho
