I used to use it to boot customer machines

always been a fan, been s couple of years since I ran Linux Mint, but when I did, I never had any issues. Everything pretty much worked by default with no big hurdles. Which is honestly all I ask for as a working professional

I'm currently on OpenSuse Tumbleweed running on a Lenovo T540p. My setup runs fine other than I wish the resolution was higher. I haven't used Mint in a long time. That's it. I had no point. Ha!

One of the applets that doesn't work yet with Cinnamon 5.4 is the weather applet, and that's bad because I really like it. That's pretty much a blocking item for me.

@iiii I have it installed on an old notebook which is used to visit a single website 😆
It works and I don‘t want to spend time updating it for no reason and risking that something breaks.

do you reccomend linux mint over zorin os?

@joewilliams007 Mint is more community driven and also financed, and the forum seems better. Plus that Mint comes with a Cinnamon edition out of the box, though both Zorin and Mint offer an XFCE edition. I wouldn't even consider Zorin with Gnome because Gnome sucks. Other than that, both are Ubuntu LTS based.

@Fast-Nop okie thx! I think for now i will stay eith zorin cuz of the hassle of moving my apps and zorin seems pretty stable to me. If i find the time i will change :)

Btw., Weather does actually work with Mint 21 - just not in the live ISO version because that doesn't set the locale, and Weather is too stupid to just use English as fallback.
