    @gnietzsche I use it a lot when I ssh to a server. Mostly to store and edit usefull commands before I paste them into the ssh session.

    And Linux users shake their head in disbelief again 😁

    @Artemix Why even bother with an os that you block so much of? I mean if you only use a small percentage, I figure that's surely a sign you should consider switching.

    @Artemix
    May I ask what edition of Windows 10 you're using?
    There's an easy way to require a request to even download the updates let alone install them though, the easy way is done with certain editions of Windows.

    @Artemix get a pro license off eBay

    @Artemix
    You can't follow this the easy way due to your edition [0], but you can probably find it in the registry and make a change there.

    @acerspyro
    The education edition is the best edition. I wouldn't go for anything else.

    Good alternative freeware stickies that work on Win10 that I've used for storing bits of info and bonus don't require restarting when updating (lol what was MS thinking?)

    To change the policy for having windows ask to download the updates and as well as install them instead of automatically doing it.

    Yes because to provide best performance sticky notes has its own kernel module and it also retreives data from aliens as they have a more advanced technology. 😒

    And here we go with linux nazi comments again...anyway really, sticky notes got updates through the store and doesn't need os updates, only the app itself... Strange

    Do not use Sticky Notes. Download OneNote (force the desktop program as the default to prevent any Windows 10 app interference) and press [Win key] + [N]. You can sticky it if you like.

    Microsoft actually got that product right. It's great.
