    @ScriptCoded You mean that show where those tech twats give you just the tip?

    In fairness I've actually wanted to work for LTT, but I would probably go insane within the first week because of the asinine opinions of how shit works at an engineering level.

    Like .. Who the fuck uses a transmission fluid tank for liquid cooling reservoir and never cleans it?

    Don't even get me started on how they actually fabricate 80% of their shit.

    It's a miracle their office hasn't burned to the ground.

    If I can't connect to it through SSH I'm not interested.

    Contrary to @Nanos' belief, i expect the toaster to actually be a fine product. It can do what you would expect a toaster to do. A drip-proof sandwichmaker accessory seems to be available for it - so it probably can do sandwiches without making a mess. Also that would imply a great supported bread thickness range. There is nothing that suggests the device needing to be online for proper operation.

    There are obvious cons though: Judging by the comments here, their website seems to not be accessible for people who can't read. They only ship in the US... And the price tag is insane. I get that you probably can't build anything overengineered like this commercially in the US for cheaper. And surely, there is a niche market for this. But i don't expect the company to survive. There are only so much hipsters which would buy a non-Apple toaster...

    I see someone made the famous IoT toaster @Alice dreamt up.

    Time to cash in those royalties 😃

    @Nanos

    "No, you will just end up with a sticky mess oozing out of the bottom !"

    That's what she said...
