Either your mouse was moved or your PC received magic packets. You can turn "Wake on magic packet" to off in Windows 10s control panel.

@tahnik it turns on always and only like 1h before planned restart
    Always, no exceptions

@matyjb that sounds like a bios feature.

If the pc is in hibernate no part of windows is running at all.

But the bios might have a function to schedule a wake up that mother board drivers might configure.

Unless you have a home network with a server that can send wake in lan packages.

Another option is that its not hibernating but only in sleep mode where its actually running but with screen and harddrive off.

With smart fans and good cooling the computer might seem to be off.

Or throw out hibernation. Hibernation is useless. Ever heard of *turning off the pc*? It saves a lot more energy.

@runfrodorun Then it shouln't be able to turn on due to windows updates. However, standard sleep is something windows can trigger scheduled reactivations for.

If the PC is off, then only WOL or manual BIOS schedules (which windows usually can't modify) can start the PC.

Windows is doing some kind of scheduled wake up, though I've never looked into it enough to find out how it works or how to disable it.

One workaround is to hold Shift when you click shutdown. That's supposed to force a complete, old fashioned OFF, rather than the pseudo-standby state introduced in either 8 or 10. Shift-shutdown has a 100% success rate at avoiding the ghostly power on in the middle of the night for me.
