Debugging codes

I can't resist being the first to mention that this is usually due to the analyzer skipping lines with certain symbols, or getting confused about lambdas broken up over multiple lines.

But you already know this and I still groan at this myself since it still becomes unclear which line it's actually pointing at.

If they called it a debugging code I don't think they're fully up to spec on the lingo anyway, I'd say it could be a mistake in either direction
Pluralising "code" to "codes" likely means they're just a foreign language speaker, perhaps where "code" or "text" are pluralised differently (there's a lot of weirdness to do with pluralising unquantifiable things in different languages, like "waters" "skies", etc.)

but if it's just "debugging codes" for "error codes" I'd say that's more likely to be someone missing the jargon

@12bitfloat is this weirdly common somewhere? I work in the UK and never hear "code" pluralised

@TheMatter13 It's wrong but some people just don't know better. It's like many americans saying "should of " instead of "should have". It's popular but still wrong as heck

After this informations I need to drink a few waters. I don’t get enough moneys for this.

@Lensflare "a few waters" actually works though, and "enough dollars" works well enough that if a language used the same term for their currency as money, you'd see similar mistakes

Natural language is weird

I love this debate about "codes". Might be a common issue some language with a different pluralisation. But should mention many European languages have the same pluralisation rules. For example: I'm from Sweden and it's the exact same deal I swedish, using the plural form of code is a sign that you are a beginner.
