Bitcoin is almost worth $2,000 US

All those people buying bitcoin because of wannacry are inflating prices :D

I was thinking about this earlier and actually thought about investing when/if they drop below 1000

@lazyDev I would look into Etherium, where the coins are named Ether.
Currently quite low but rising fast, I'm thinking it can grow significantly over the next years to come.

I had one which I sold with 120% profit, thought I made the right move...
Would have had around 2100% profit today :/

@RYPTAR You are correct, the currency in itself is decentralized.
Many brokers does however give you the opportunity to invest in the cryptocurrency value compared to usd.
Whether that is 'investing in the currency' can be discussed, but it's a possibility.

I mined around 150 coins when they were $2. Sold for 7.5k when they where around 50, used it as a down payment for my shitty house. Would've been around 300k today, much more than my house is worth. #noregrets, I learned to renovate houses because I had no money left for contractors.
