@tosensei and imagine we have chips in our brains for "entertainment purposes" and big corpos decides to add some more ads. Your dead relatives pops out of nowhere asks why you don't visit them in an app called "Family Reunion" and they keep getting angry over time if you don't open the app.

The big question is, are the shareholders satisfied?

@Nanos that would require them to know a government unique identifier that they could use to subscribe to who died.

In Sweden you can do that but in the US I am not sure you have quite the similar system.

And you would need one for every country and also force users to register with such an info, which they do not today.

So if they get told someone died and can verify it they will remove it but I have seem many news stories about people that have tried to get dead relatives removed and failed since FB do not accept the claim that the account holder is dead.

They should make a coffin badge as verified dead person, just like the verified accounts badge and charge people 8$ for that, twitter is no better for charging people ...
