Just realized I'm using an almost decade old Acer aspire laptop for programming. And its still useful because Linux.

    @human arch linux, I'm using deepin as my environment. Had to go find and build a package for the old b43 WiFi card.

    @ragecoder I'd like to be on Linux but I need to use Adobe shit on Windows. Working on converting my media server from Win7 to Linux – probably FreeNAS.

    I got windows vista on a 9 years old machine (going to retire it soon thats why I have not upgraded it)

    My dad has windows 10 on his 8 years old gaming rig ;)

    New graphics card but otherwise the same.

    Nope. It's useful because computers no longer evolve as fast as they used to. There's nothing to do with Linux vs. Windows.

    @elazar exactly. The old computer is used for som browsing and games, and the games are not so heavy and runs perfectly fine.

    For development I got a portable from work with windows 10

    I'm using a 8yo 27" iMac with i7, 8GB RAM and Samsung 840 Evo SSD and it's still a rocket 🚀 couldn't be happier with it.
