@LensFlare Have you not noticed that more or less all of modern life happens on the net? Who made that work, do you think?
-
@spongegeoff And what does it have to do with the happiness of the developers themselves?
-
@LensFlare Yeah, I probably crossed my wires a bit there. Though I guess you'd be happier when you were coping, less happy if not? Personally, I got out of web dev when I lost count of the number of process stages in between a simple HTML or CSS code change and a deployment.

Software development is like a bad relationship where the partner mistreats you but you still can’t get enough of them.
We understand. -
@Anchor you see that door over there? I’m very slowly walking backwards towards it to leave. haha
-
@Anchor I work with windows and c# too - and guess what mf - I hate it so much
-
@Anchor bc .net is an ass framework, especially considering hardly anyone has migrated to .net core yet - c# is a cool ass language tho

Fuck humanity.
Most problems in software development don't have a technical background, rather a human one.
Bad management? Human.
Loan too small? Greedy humans.
Exploited? Greedy humans.
PRs feel like judgement day? Tiny genitalia humans. Or nicer worded: butthurt egoistical humans.
Codebase looks like messie flat with rodent infestation? Yeah. Messy humans. Or probably humans with god complex.
I could go on, but I think it's evident.
Working with a competent team always feels like getting the good stuff in the hospital without the usual Blablabla of how dangerous the good stuff is. Pure moments of bliss, cause the cocktail they gave you is just meant for that. -
As a fellow programming and electronics enjoyer, I thought software development was toxic. So I figured since I liked building stuff I'd have a look at the construction industry... fucking NOPE jeebus almighty.
TL;DR: people are mostly cancers wherever you look, but some are more on the terminal stage AIDS side. -
@Anchor jk we are supposed to love each other. I understand your lack of experience and your newness to this field is valid. I wish u the best and wish u keep that feeling with you forever

jeeper58092y@PepeTheFrog it’s truly amazing what gets completed in spite of humanity’s proclivity for error, laziness, waste, and disorganization
Man…fuck software development
