This is actually not a new thing. The picture originally hit the internet back in 2014 if memory serves right and at the time it was all over the place. If you search the title there is also a REDDIT pics page for it as well where people are talking at length about the possibilities as to why it actually exists.

The long and short of it, based on the REEDDIT discussion anyway, is that HAMA is a well known German audio visual and IT cables and converters manufacturing company. Also how Germans are not into joking at all and that they are into practical jokes when they finally do joke about something. So this is for laughs essentially.
