When you're British and any time you have to pick a language it shows the American flag for English. (Same applies for Portuguese and Brazil.)

I think CSS should only work in France if your stylesheet contains couleur: gris, only in China if it defines 颜色: 灰色, etc. Sure, stylesheets become a bit longer, but it's the only way to stop this form of English imperialism. Same for Javascript of course!

No. Please no.
I do not want to write
.meineKlasse{
Farbe:grün;
Hintergrund-Farbe:Türkis;
}
in my code.
I do not even know the German translation (general meaning yes, but not the actual translation) of margin, padding and a lot of other words I use everyday in every programming language. 😐 -
@d4ng3r0u5 well yeah, clearly it originated here then people learned it in England and named the country England because they liked our language so much.

@chrisrhymes No bauxite is rock, not metal. And I liked that type of rock before it became cool, even before people got into metal, when it was still appreciated for its gibbsite/boehmite/diaspore roots.

The so called American spelling of the word color is actually the original British spelling of the word.
The Brits only changed it to colour after being butthurt by the revolutionary Yankees who threw them the fuck out of what they took as their rightful colony.
Also, despite the many contributions of the prominent British Computer Scientists and mathematicians to the body of the modern computer science, none of whom found other than academic refuge in their home county for their contributions. They all flourished and evolved their trait only after coming to the US.
Even the miraculous WWII German enigma code breaking machine was actually made in the US based on the designs of Alan Turing who was himself medically castrated by the homophobic British monarchy to properly thank him for his many contributions.
In short, considering all that they have done for the advancement of computer science, the Americans more than earn the right to force American English in all computer fields.
