When you and your team invested a lot of their weekend time into the project to meet the clients unrealistic deadline and get not even a simple "thank you" from management...

it's managements fault when you have to work on weekends. You sell your workforce for the terms in your contract. Don't give them more of your live for free. Your team should collectivly take the time off in which they invested on the weekends.
