Fellow devs, I want to hear your opinions on Scrum and daily stand up meetings. Do you think they're necessary?

God, I really hate that I'm required to participate in a meeting EVERY FUCKING DAY.

I think it's a good way to make sure the team is on the right path towards the sprint goal and it makes it easy to make adjustments early. But it requires discipline and engagement.

    Remember.
It's not a forum for finding solutions.
It's an indicator of if you are on track.

Mine takes less than 5 minutes, I can't complain on that. We even do it standing and the one talking has to hold a heavy Thor hammer so that it will go straight to the point.

@eskizo oh, I like this idea. My team has been growing in size and scrums are taking longer than usual. I'm going to suggest this!

@byte-me with the scrum framework if your team is growing they need to be split off into smaller teams. Having 7 to 10+ teams kinda too big for scrum, also if your scrum master isn't time boxing efficiently that's a problem and yes scrum meetings can be boring. Try to mix it up and have fun with it
