@dfox could we instead first get an android app that's not terrible?

I mean I like this community at first glance, but it's really hard to convince any of my friends that it's worth it when they have to install *this* on their phones.

Please go through existing issues before creating a new issue. Try avoiding duplicate issues.

@awnumar 3 out of 6 problems you mentioned are same related to crashing. If you and your friends facing this problem often, provide a proper detailed events you are performing so we can try to reproduce it, and if it's a major bug, can raise dfox or trogus to fix it with high priority

@awnumar yeah, it works here, but ill probably make a *proper* android app, i mean a non-javascript one someday

@Kimmax I think that would be cool, can you please add to the issue tracker? It’s more of an @trogus thing

@awnumar like others have said, that’s not really a helpful “bug” report. Can you try to help us out and make descriptive issue? We have tens of thousands of Android users and haven’t heard of any major issues in a while. The device you’re using is important information too.

@awnumar I have to agree with @Alice. I have no issues with this app since I installed it. Maybe it's your phone?

And to sum up what @dfox is saying... Without a proper bug report and device info, it's just bitching.

Not attacking you/no offense!

What the fuck does even multitask mean in that context lol - and just like others mentioned I didn't have any problem across 4 devices, which range from high end android phones to a cheap tablet.

In all seriousness, safe I'll grab a log the next time it happens. It's not like I have a slow phone, I'm running Oreo on a Nexus 6P.

@JoshBent If I switch to another app for a second to do something else, about 20% of the time, devRant just crashes.

@awnumar really weird, I'm on Nexus 6p with Oreo too! Hasn't crashed in the last few months, and I multitask pretty often. What apps, maybe? Might be a bunch of heavy ones and you run out of memory

Chrome mainly. Don't think memory is an issue or it would affect other apps too.

Never had issues using Android app, rarely crash but I send the report every time it does, but again RARELY
I enjoy using it more than the website as I find mobile version of any website to be faster than web version (and I guess this is why people build mobile apps lol)
