I'm a web developer and know jack about hardware. My wife's personal laptop was going very slow so decided to upgrade to a SSD. How hard could it be?

Turns out to be very fiddly trying to disconnect and reconnect 4 ribbon cables. To get to the HD and replace it.

Restarted laptop and thought it was all good, but only certain keys worked and the mouse pad moved but didn't click?!?

Had to take it apart and reconnect twice more but now it's fully functioning once again.

Sticking to software in future. Massive respect to hardware specialists!

I really hate doing all the tweaks for tablet and mobile on websites. No matter how hard one tries to design for mobile first and make the transitions as seamless as possible, there are always some “fiddly bits” that won’t behave. And so many devices with all their viewport width variations. Also, there’s the matter of people resizing a desktop browser to any width that might not be covered by the breakpoint ranges that specifically. One could write a hundred breakpoints and still not account for it all on some designs. It’s exhausting.

A step aside from one of the answers I ever gave on Stack Overflow, I notice I once made a "jsfiddle".

Already some annoyances...

• When did browsers, uh webkit, decide to fuck every "ul", "menu", and "dir" element with a "-webkit-padding-start" of 40 damn pixels?

• That friggin' fiddly webshite doesn't even force me to HTTPS, bro. Need a reason to fuck yourself in the vulnerable ass?

• Why is it that I can't log in with my tiny four-letter nickname; you identity-fuckers?

Anyone tried Fat Free Framework? (PHP)

It's actually really nice, a little bit fiddly, but still nice.

Everyone who makes websites on which it is hard or impossible to select text should just stop. Please. Just stop.
