colleague's constant whispering across whole office 😏 he won't shut up no matter what you say to him...
only music to the rescue here 🤘🎧1
when we started this project for a customer we are working on we had a training about how their BE and FE is working, their coding style and so on. FE is in Angular 4 btw. During this training for FE we were about to create our first component. The trainer: "Ok, let's generate this component." He opened some very basic project that they have as a starting point, selected a directory, crtl+c ctrl+v, manually renamed everything. "There you have it. We successfully generated a new component!" 😳😵
We are still generating them like that 😅
yesterday my boss called me to his office.
(him) - Please close the door
(me thinking) - My God, this is gonna be serious. He never closes his doors
(him) - It's a common practice here that we buy a new laptop for new colleges. What kind of laptop do you have?
(me relieved and excited) - Well it's 4 years old shit, 8 Gb of RAM, slow
(him) - Great we'll buy you this i7, big SSD, 32 Gb of RAM + new monitor, mouse and keyboard.
I was excited as fuck.
Until he sent me what he bought. It's much worse laptop than that I have 😑 Only thing that is better is it has 16 Gb of RAM.
I guess I'll just take that RAM off it and put it in my machine (if it is DDR3, God please may it be DDR3)4
I just made a terrible mistake 😬 finishing my Android app for school project on my Ubuntu, Android Studio opened, trillions of chrome tabs opened, Spotify opened (it's a must! 🎶🤘), simply typical school project coding. Then I wanted to fully complete design and I remembered I did some prototypes of that app using JustInMind on VirtualBox win. So I without realizing what monstrosities are already running on my poor laptop I booted it.
I'm using Ubuntu for five years now and this was the first time I had to hard-reset it 😬😬 lets hope to never do the same mistake again2
- study for my final exams
- finish half of my bachelor thesis
- learn Angular for my full-time job
- learn React for my full-time job
- manage to do all of this in less than a month 😬
the rest will come1
received them yesterday 😊 they're much better than expected 😱☺️ thank you Team devRant 😉
now I'm just wandering what to do with them 🤔 I mean obviously I want to stick them on my laptop but it's 4 years old and it's got its best behind so I was thinking should I wait until I buy a new laptop? 🤔
worst sin? 🤔
I guess not following any best practices, really bad formating, no comments, simply puting all code together just to make it work. I cry everytime I have to dig through my old codes 😫 such a shitty code, such a shitty programmer I was (am) 😔😓
what have I done to deserve this? 😫
the connection is so shitty I can't even rant about it properly... 😵2
I started using Ubuntu a few years ago. At first dualbooted with Windows now I have only Ubuntu installed.
I still remeber the days when I had Win... I was so used to reinstall every half a year or so. I don't need to do this now and I get bored some times 😂
My god I miss Windows only to reinstall that shit over and over again 😂😂
what the hell is wrong with me? 😲😁1
We had this team project to do in my second year at university. In C btw. My team consisted from 3 members. We had about a month or so to finish it. So of course we started 2 weeks before the submission. Well... I started. Those two didn't give damm about it at first but after I pushed them to do something one of them tried to code this simple function. It was supposed to check if the opptions from command line could be combined. His fuction had around !!200!! lines of code 😲 but he swear it was working. I was skeptic so i tested it. waaaaaait for it... it didn't work... the very first combination I tried that should not be accepted passed his awesome test 😱 I gave him another two chances. Result was the same.
I was furious. I had my part to do with little time to test someone else's code... So I desided to code the whole project on my own. Then I told my "coworkers" that they either pay me for it or they will be without any point for this project. I earned 80 € that day 😀😎
Btw my test function for those opptions had less than 10 lines 😁
i think you all know about YouTube and its super power "Recommended for You"... like when some stupid friend sends you a my little pony video and you just can't get rid of it... Well just a few minutes ago this friend of mine sent me some weird japanese video s**t with battleships and flying girls shooting at each other enjoying it...
Please send a prayer or two for me I'm going to need it2
