Working on code that we took from other devices company. We found this brilliant thing in one of their function (check catch blok)

Client asked us to modify site made in some obscure CMS. Authentication on AJAX request is done by sending email and password as plaintext in header and then it would do md5 on server side

Ok so another short rant about project I ranted before. We are developing Android and iOS social app for around 6 months, apps should have been in store during September . Turns out sometimes during August Apple decided that all apps of appstore that communicate with server have to implement ipv6 also Amazon had support ipv6 on its old ec-classic instances but not on new ec-vpc instances. I have worked until middle of the night trying to find work around for this but at the end we need to find another host that supports ipv6

Not my hack but when I was in university, for one test we had to find all 3 digits number that satisfied current set of criteria. Friend of mine knew from earlier that solution is one number and written program that just prints that number. TA give him 0 points and he get in fight claiming that not only his solution was good but also most optimal one.

Client asked us to build standard dating app. Android version was published without problem but iOS version was rejected because during registration we collect data application does not need to work properly, that data is age and gender of user...

Gift from my sister for times when I am under to much stress working

Client asked for time line for website I told them 6 weeks from moment they provide design (I had other active projects and would have to split time between them ) . For next 4 weeks they would send me design and then after few hours tell me to stop working and that they are going to change design.
After 4 weeks they sent me final version of the design and informed me that it needs to be done in next 2 weeks. We expected 10 more websites from them and it was 7-8 pages so I put other projects on hold and finished it in around week and sent link to them for review, 2 days before deadline they informed me that there are around 20 pages missing pages that are not in final version of design but only in version xx sent more than 2 weeks ago. In next day and half me and 2 other developers had more then 20 hours each to finish it on time
