I had this problem where I needed to make a script that took two values, and from that printed what card was faulty in a pretty large system.
As the script language is horrible, I could not be bothered to manually write over 3000 if-statements I proceeded to write a program that writes code for me, based on a export of all the cards.
There are few things I have experienced in my life that compares to the satisfaction of seeing my own program produce many thousands of lines of code in a few seconds.2
I have a friend which have a hoarding disorder when it comes to coding. Here are some of the things he does:
1: If he rewrites, remove, or in any other way refactor a function, then he keeps the old one in the file commented out.
2: If he deletes a class then he takes the code and paste it into a class that he have just for old code. AN ACTUAL CLASS! Not just some random text file somewhere. Even though it is commented out, he leaves it so that you can initiate his garbage.
3: In point 1, the code is not pasted on the end. It inside all the other actual code.
So if you try to help him with something, then you have to dig through a mountain of shit just to find some code.5

I was trying to fix my computer illiterate sisters computer, then I found out that there were two anti-virus programs that tried to delete each other.
When trying to delete the software I found out that the system admin does not have permission to use administrator rights at all. So in frustration I copied any valuable files, and reinstalled the entire OS.
Sometimes I wonder how people end up in these situations. She had 4 different anti-virus programs and still ended up getting multiple viruses! xD7
The company I work for have this obsession of sending phishing emails to employees. If you report the email you get a message saying good job. If you fail, and you open it you have to have a meeting with your boss and stuff. They do this multible times a week.
So now we have this situation where a lot of important emails get deleted as collateral damage, as the employees are parnoid of opening them. Fantastic system with no flaws at all.🤔🤔7
Have to use this custom script language from ABB. I have hever felt this amount of pain in life. Virtually impossible to predict the result, and two compiled versions of the same code might behave different from the other. Please shoot me😖 Sorry, felt I needed to went my frustration. ☺️4
