PM has decided to learn linux. Today he asked me if "downloading" linux would make it so he can't use windows anymore.
I ended up sending him a link on how to use the ubuntu shell on windows. Then about half an hour later he asked me why he couldn't type to enter his password. This should be fun...

SNES style rpg in pygame. It might never get anywhere but I'm having fun working on it anyway.

Every year a company holds a 6 hour competition for three different universities. The first year I basically showed up and sweated a lot cause I was pretty new but the next year I was in third place for the first few hours. I eventually fell behind, but it was way better. The one for this year is coming up in a couple months and I'm pretty excited.

It took a long time, but I finally got a dual boot of arch set up. I'm pretty excited.

After working for about a year and a half at a rather small web company, I've found that poor choices by management frequently result in me getting in trouble. (Adding new requirements to scope, moving up deadlines, etc) So I think my career goals are starting to move more in the direction of freelancing, at least part time.

Does anyone have any experience freelancing? Do you like it? How did you get started?

I'm a student but I've been working backend and frontend for about a year and a half now. I know just enough to be frustrated whenever a teacher says the words "group" and "project". Anyway, there was an assignment due yesterday for my group, and it was working more or less perfectly, then at the last minute, this guy gets on and tries to "fix" an issue that the teacher said specifically we didn't have to solve.

HE. BROKE. EVERYTHING. And then he pushed straight to master. Ironically, the program still ran, it appeared to be encrypting and decrypting correctly, but he basically removed one of the algorithms we were supposed to implement. I think the professor will give us a better grade than we deserve but still...
