-
Install Hackintosh.

I found many issues with my browsing after installing Pi Hole. In the end I gave up and went with a browser based ad blocker. Was just too much maintenance

Yes as others have said, the S8 and S9 are at 1080p by default. You can go in to display settings and modify the resolution to 720p or 1440p without rebooting.
-
@noder you get this weird feeling of suction when you do that.
-
Here in England, especially London you’re expected to have at least an Undergraduate degree. It’s only really used to kick start your career

3 weeks to download 138GB? What internet speeds are you getting - it seems awfully long
-
Been there. It can happen a lot when you have a lot of files open at the same time

QC35’s are the bees knees. Love my pair

You need to use the AddAlcohol method before talking
-
Is it that thing that Microsoft invented - You just type “bash” in the command line window right?
-
I love trying out different distros. Solus would be my go to if it had more packages in the package manager.
Went with Hackintosh now -
Impressive upload speeds. The UK has got in to a state where even if the download speeds are faster than 200Mbps that the upload speeds are still stuck at like 40Mbps. Pretty annoying
-
Vultr does it for me too. I really like the $2.50 sandbox instances to play around with.
-
Also FYI all new phones have personal hotspot via Bluetooth or USB so you shouldn’t have any issue getting online.

MacBook Pro 15” 2017

@configurator I thought he was referring to the fact it’s a production site with template code still visible
-
You forgot to add some thermal paste
-
I think you or the team that implemented the cache is in the wrong here. Your boss is just a boss wanting something. You are the experts in what you do so should have not added the caching for dynamic pages.

Wooo Salesforce - Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget guy here.

@exas +1 on bootstrap - whenever I start on any front end dev bootstrapcdn.com is my go to and I take it from there.

Go to the Gym, see my gf, rock climbing

I sometimes write code like this mainly so I can add extra logic in the future. Saves time down the line.
-
Most Cloud Hosting services have web consoles now. I use Vultr and if I can’t access through SSH I just open up the noVNC console and can access it directly.

Universe has an E at the end

@Letmecode it's just a figure of speech...?
More of a British thing to say -
Haha so true!! I always try and run Ubuntu or Fedora on my desktop PC but configuring something will just break it and will have to reinstall the OS again. I always end up going back to Windows because of this. I've had Fedora running on a server for over a year without issues though.

dismissable: false

@sam9669 would actually be Apple and OS X/MacOS. Sierra would be the version number similar to 10 for Windows.

@daintycode 100 x 10 = 1000mhz = 1Ghz for the clock speed. 100 is usually the bus speed and the 10 is the clock multiplier. If a CPU has an unlocked multiplier then you can increase this to overclock your CPU. So you could do 100 x 12 giving you 1.2Ghz. Probably not possible on a CPU that level but more for the newer enthusiast CPUs.
