  • 1
@sebastian yep, that's what skilled person can do 😬😂

Here is another pic Pretty cute? My table space ran out because theres a LOT of laptops to eradicate 7 from and do Windows10 on.

You know what's rotten? Windows building layers on top of older versions ...

He could Install linux. But maybe he needs them to work. Or wants to use the touchpad. Or wlan. Or its cd drive. Stuff like that u know..
  • 1
@daintycode or just they prefer windows, or they need some specific sw or programming language... Or simply stop comment always same linux thing in all windows rants

    Win7>>win10

    Win10>>win7

This post is so confusing.. People who prefer win 10 over 7 and linux are we on devrant? 🤯
  • 0
@neriald yes, why? There is also people that prefer linux, mac os and win 7 over win 10 on devrant
  • 0
@dontbeevil preferring any garbage over win 10 is normal since win 10 is the utter shit microsoft has ever created
  • 0
@Lahsen2016 that is absolutely correct, but the decision between a little work and no work is clear.
  • 0
@neriald yes yes yes of course /s
  • 0
@neriald How is Windows 10 garbage? Its the best OS ever created, with builtin antivirus, firewall and Edge browser.
  • 0
    @dontbeevil I knew you’d agree
  • 0
@sebastian actually I like win defender it really is the best antivirus app 🙃
  • 1
@sebastian haters gonna hate, they also think that they are the only ones whi knows whats the best and right to use, and everybody must agree with them
  • 1
@neriald if you're not so stupid to click on any banner or attachment, defender is more than enough, fast, light and without lot of shit like other antiviruses

Alright I feel like I need to justify myself. First of all I’m Windows user always been and at the moment I’m using win 10. That said since win 7 it is not windows anymore they wanted to be cool be more like apple or whatever and brought apps on what they already had. How did that work out? Totally garbage.
Did you by mistake ever trust Windows and install 2 versions of skype one for good ol windows and the other “app” version and have someone call you? I did and both started ringing okay that could happen but why would it keep ringing when I’m 3 minutes in the call on the other client? Do you really use the apps btw?
Oh oh wait still not done why are there 2 control panels? for more control ofc!
I have many more to list but you got the main idea if you want to go cool have apps and finger them as you wish you have the resources to create completely new OS why would you try to add it on perfectly working system?

That is my 2 cents, thanks for reading.

@dontbeevil I wasn’t sarcastic on win defender I really think it is the best tool for the job as you’ve already said lightweight and totally reliable.
  • 2
@neriald ok now you gave at least some explantion but it's still far to totally shit as you started:
    - as any new version since win 95, soon or later the support expire in favor of the new one... Today win 7 still runs all the sw (except uwp) and get security updates till 2020 (?)
    - skype yes was a problem, because the old code was based on p2p, to mantein the compatibility with old clients they neede compromise, gradually they moved to the cloud and old clients are not supported anymore (it's easier to statt a modern client from scratch like viber for example)
    - yes control panel + settings is still confusing, and could be managed better, settings is useful to use with touch screen devices
    Cheers
    P. S. About defender the emoticon confused me :)

@sebastian there is nothing wrong with win 7 atm and Win 10 is just Spyware. Did you try to install Linux on them?
  • 0
    @StazC w7 = rotten. w10 = fresh.
Many sites don't work in IE but in Edge.
why install linux? they have valid licenses, then its w10 that makes them great.
  • 0
@sebastian you can just install Firefox or Chrome on Windows seven and everything will work on Win7. Oh, also, thanks for just not replying to my other argument.
  • 0
@StazC w10 is not spyware since Microsoft is a trusted company.
  • 0
@sebastian you don't read news, do you?
Just put wireshark on a Win10 PC and you'll see all your dater being transferred to your "trusted company"
  • 0
@StazC I know that microsoft collect data, but since microsoft is a trusted company, I don't mind them collecting data.
  • 0
@sebastian so selling your data to advertisers makes it "trusted"?
  • 0
@StazC they anonymize the data with a unique id before selling.
  • 0
@sebastian oh sure, that'll make it better. NOT. The problem is that they are collecting so much data that you just have to count 1 and 1 together to know which person it comes from.
Also, what's wrong with win 7 and Linux?
  • 0
@StazC so I bet you don't use any single google service
  • 2
ooh asked the boss for an extra table.. he fixed it.only 16 laptops left (+ the 6 ones on the table) to eradicate windows 7 from and install Windows 10.

(picture got upside down because of my phone)

@dontbeevil I'm trying to get rid of them, also blocking Google analytics and ad stuff

'beatutiful windows 10' top kek 😂😂

    Why not something Linuxy?
  • 0
@JFK422 Because linux isn't suitable for day to day computing. I love linux, its great for specialized computers for example a kiosk computer in a store, a server, a automation system, ticket machines, network equipment, terminal server (where employees can get a temporary session via VNC) etc.

But for a normal work computer, Windows 10 have better support for Microsoft's proprietary file formats and protocols, and have a wider compatibilitys with other software.

Well I use Windows everyday and don't get what should be better about Linux. I think coding on Windows is even way more practical than coding on Linux

@Lahsen2016 I just got bored on every single rant abound a windows there is always someone that has to complain and say: "switch to linux, windows sucks and so on..." ... why (most of) linux people cannot accept that someone else can prefer something different than them? why (most of) think that only them are using the only right tools? and yes in many cases linux is still not suitable for day to day use, for one or more of the following reasons: level of user, habit of user, adaptability of user, compatibility with sw, compatibility with files ecc...

    p.s.
I don't care what you use, if suits you, same for CLI vs GUI, tabs vs spaces, IDE vs text editor...
