We need to break this question down to categories... front end, backend, etc.... I feel like system administrators or IT’s(especially if they have there cssip) have no soul... front-end devs meh hit or miss, backend polarizing emotions... either extremely nice or vice versus... I would say I have a soul when it comes to front end but IT support I lose my shit always.

We have a very international community on devRant and sometimes miscommunications occur, whether it's cultural differences, an honest mistake or a joke that doesn't translate well in text format. We try to give everyone the benefit the doubt, and looking through the other rants and comments from @born2bdev he doesn't appear to be a malicious troll.

That said, @born2bdev please be mindful of the space, and if people are reacting badly to your comments, it may be time to pull back and step away, especially when it's someone else's rant that you are clogging up. We're protective of the friendly vibe here, and if you stir shit up, even unintentionally, eventually we're going to have to take action to end that.

Everyone else, if you think someone is not picking up on the social cues or acting potentially troll-ish, please just disengage/ignore them which makes them more likely to disengage as well. Easier said than done in the heat of the moment, but it makes everyone a better neighbor.
