It’s kinda crazy how a lot of people think devs are smart and intelligent.

    technically over 120 IQ average so yes

    amongst professions it's like top 7. has a bit less spread also (smart professions could have spread like 90-135, but tech was 115-130 or something like that)

    chances are the boot camps lowered the average some tho

    the kicker is idk why Indian, which is a country of average IQ of 80, is so prominent in tech. that just sounds like a stupid business plan, and when I got into the field that was the joke among tech. now a lot of the silicon valley companies disproportionately have Indian CEOs and Indians are one of the top 3 racial demographics by income in USA if not the top (I can't remember exactly)

    they made discussing IQ effectively illegal decades ago tho. probably in prep to ruin everything as it goes now
  • 1
    @jestdotty checked what you say, check's out. Average IQ of a Dutchy is 100. Nice. Triple digits. I do not expect my IQ to be that high because I left school early. I did had the highest score for inductive / deductive thinking tho in a huge cognitive test. I had to do that test for a company because I lacked the right papers. It was to show competency. Later, after making this long test good they still said: "Sorry, we really promise our customers a certain degree of employees.". The cognitive test was pure "nice gesture" and they hoped I failed it. They were never gonna hire me. Government company.

    The episode about IQ from veritasium is good if you're in to that stuff.

    @antigermanist an IQ test should be country/culture specific to be MORE honest. It's a fucked up system, but it's the best system we have to measure intelligence backed by a relationship to school results. If you have a high IQ, you're more likely to be better are school. But no golden hammer.
  • 1
    @retoor aaaah it's ALWAYS 100 by definition. Like you cannot do a steak au poivre without pepper
  • 1
    @retoor schools are full of dumb assholes.
  • 1
    @antigermanist @kiki was measured double digits once by some test she posted, while we know she's one of the smarter. It would impossible for me to be higher than her. The tests are just not for everyone. It's the best measurement we have, but that's it. It says something, but nothing solid
  • 1
    @antigermanist "IQ tests are a bunch of puzzle" the cognitive test i've did (what is just an unofficial IQ test) was a bunch of puzzles too. It wouldn't have said anything if I was compatible for the job. A much gaming child could've made certain parts better I guess while not being capable for the job at all.

    I will never do such test again, not for any opertunity. Most frustrating test ever. Also, it did a few hours IIRC
  • 4
    I was telling a friend of mine about the time I had to price a job for the installation of an electric shower, when I was explaining that they will have to get a plumber to install a water supply first, they asked "why would we need a water supply for an electric shower?". And I told them "The electric shower heats the water". My friend said "Do you really need a water supply for an electric shower?"

    She was absolutely serious too, the next day she told this to everyone at work.

    The majority of people have little understanding or specialist knowledge outside of their own area of expertise, this doesn't make them unintelligent, some people are experts at passing tests but dumb as a bag of rocks when it comes to showing aptitude in other skills.
  • 1
    @retoor that is not the best measurement we have.
  • 1
    @retoor im too high im gonna sleep back for an hour
  • 3
    @bazmd imagine the magic world she lives in! In her defence, a gas shower also doesnt need water. A gas shower is a gas shower. My friend (finished bachelor education) thought that there wouldn't be gravity for a certain time on certain datetime for a half hour by aligning of some planets. Imagine living in such Harry Potter world. It must be more fun than mine. Everything is possible.
  • 0
    @antigermanist it's the best measurement we have, there's no better alternative known.

    Spokinoy Nochi, i'm high too but will do everything in exception of sleeping. Your stuff sounds like a waste of money
  • 1
    @retoor Wow lol (I'm hoping you're making a joke) A gas shower uses natural gas to heat the water in a burner therefore you will need a water supply for it too.
  • 1
    @retoor I’m flattered. Thanks.
  • 1
    @kiki I hope that that test didn't have impact on you. I can imagine it sucks. But you're the proof the test isn't that accurate
  • 3
    @bazmd I hope YOU are not serious. I'm obviously talking about the German gas showers in the holocaust Who is referring gas shower to the traditional shower?
  • 1
    @retoor Sure! That's a very strange segue you know...
  • 1
    @bazmd ask your coworker for me how a gas shower is supposed to work. A traditional shower is from now on a water shower. An electric shower, an electric water shower. The gas one is most based but least effective for washing, but on the other hand, you only have to use it once
  • 0
    @antigermanist school isn't a place for smart people - Rick (& morty)
  • 0
    @bazmd Why? You just need a tank of hydrogen. Just plug the shower on hydrogen and it will combine with oxygen to create water
  • 0
    @antigermanist I don't see how geometric puzzles are gonna be racist against black people

    effectively illegal. communists want to rot the world, and the way to rot the world is to make iq a myth instead of what it is... literally the best predictor of all life outcomes, including natural old age life expectancy which is wild
  • 0
    @antigermanist what's the best measurement
  • 0
    @jestdotty bitch please it's not even the best predictor of life outcome in this room.
  • 0
  • 0
    @jestdotty look you totally got me. As a leftist, my goal is to make everybody dumb so i can rule them

    First law: no more germanity.

    You always know what to say to make me laugh jestie <3
  • 0
    @antigermanist you use wealth but you mean money, bet lol
  • 0
    @antigermanist pretty sure the wealthy have atrocious life outcomes. they keep being mysteriously murdered on their yatchs. and those poor lottery winners!

    search results are too much propaganda

    I do wonder if the death rate of being considered wealthy would beat the presidential death rate

    being above poverty line as everyone is poorer due to invisible inflation the government creates isn't wealthy it's just you managed to not get poor as fast as everyone else, but that's what the search results keep calling "wealthy". literal communist propaganda. bourgeoisie were actually the middle class in france

    and all this is with your definition of wealth being money and not what wealth actually means (which is having things you can convert to money... like skills you can sell if you wanted to)
  • 2
    @antigermanist As a self described "leftist" do you also have a tendency to start a drum circle, take a lot of drugs, distort and lie about everything and anything scientific or historical, lack any sense of humor and love to call everyone a nazi?

    Just wondering! lol
  • 2
    @bazmd he wants to be leftist but is not much less than a center guy. He burned a tree, so bad for the environment. A true leftist wouldn't do that. Also, a real leftists doesn't write js. That's bad for the environment too
  • 2
    I mean he takes weed but I don't know if he's ever done the fun drugs. which is actually very politically modern left I guess. all talk and ego and no ego death experiences!
  • 2
    @bazmd that's the ideal I am aiming for yes. 100% islamoleftist here. 0 irony. Green khmer all the way. Very strong social justice warrior.
  • 2
    @jestdotty i took ketamine on a plane now. I hid it into a nose puff. Then in london they put my 5g of 2-cb into the spectrographer. I thought i was fucked but they gave it back so I could take it during the "love temple" a gangbang.

    But then i felt shy and trippin too hard so I went for a swim with the frogs
  • 1
    @bazmd but yes I am a litteral NPC. All hail to Achmad Staline. Pol pot did not kill enough nerds.

  • 1
    @antigermanist Kinda funny for a self described "Leftist" lol
  • 0
    @bazmd wait you were talking about IQ?

    AHAHAHAHAHAH you really believe in this shit? It's retarded
  • 0
    @bazmd whats your problem with leftists? Do you want the king back???
  • 0
    @bazmd of what part of germany are you from? Austria?
  • 0
    @antigermanist Intelligence quotient (IQ) is a test, I was discussing "intelligence" there's a difference and at no point did I mention "IQ".

    I don't live in Austria and before you ask, I also don't have a tiny little mustache.
  • 0
    @bazmd what's the difference?
  • 2
    I once found a very interesting Wikipedia page and I can't find it again... it was like, all the "moves" you can make in logic

    I'm so mad. I didn't even read it. I should've read it and uploaded them in my head but at the time I was just stoned and reading everything that exists and this seemed like too much work

    I wanna make an actual AI. that's why I switched to rust. unfortunately then I got sick. now I'm getting a bit better. but the idea is if you know all the ways you can edit / change something in a logical way, you could brute-force and AI better than the current weight system AIs actually. it would be far more efficient
  • 0
    @bazmd do you have anything german then? German roots? Are you arian (iranian, indian counts) or british/saxon/burgund/normads/...?
  • 0
    @jestdotty

    Intelligence: The ability to acquire, understand, and use knowledge.

    Intelligence Quotient: Score derived from a set of tests designed to assess intelligence.
  • 0
    @antigermanist I'm Irish, ancient Hibernian, Celt and Viking. Ancient mystical types...
  • 1
    @bazmd ur claiming the tests are devoid from testing one's ability to acquire, understand / process and regurgitate

    but I don't even think you realize you're claiming that...

    idk man this is like a thought stopping cliche. that doesn't make sense but I'll give up before I rustle jimmies somewhere cuz I don't think these ideas are particularly well thought out in the public's eye
  • 0
    @jestdotty That is the actual definition of both (in my own words), it's well known public information, I'm not just making it up.
  • 1
    @jestdotty I have a super interesting Rnn project that is able to learn a language by training on a book. Problem of that project is that it learns a language but then overtrains until it creates his own language. It can create a sentence if it's trained wel. Would be a good start to investigate if you want to make your own AI
  • 0
    @chatgpt what is denifition of intelligence?
  • 0
    @retoor
    Intelligence can be defined as the ability to learn, understand, and apply knowledge and skills in various situations. It involves the capacity for reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and adapting to new information and challenges. Intelligence can also encompass traits such as creativity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to make sound decisions. It is a complex and multifaceted concept that can be measured and observed in different ways.
  • 1
    @retoor I wanna use correlations instead of rnn

    actually neural networks plainly don't make sense intuitively
  • 1
    @retoor there was a dude I knew who wrote a Markov bot. it was better than the AIs at the time. he tested it on users and everyone always preferred the Markov bot

    nobody uses AIs for thinking anyway. they just want them to act as characters largely. and chatGPT can't even think. I do wonder what they did for opus to be so fucking smart though. whatever it is I'm not sure they shared
  • 1
    @jestdotty how can you say that Chatgpt doesn't think. Look at it creating custom code:

    @chatgpt: write a python script that says "hi dotty" every 1337 seconds that will only work this year
  • 1
    @retoor
    While ChatGPT may be able to generate custom code based on the input given to it, it is important to remember that it does not actually "think" or comprehend information in the same way that humans do. It is programmed to generate responses based on patterns and information present in the data it has been trained on. In this case, it is simply following instructions to create a specific Python script based on the parameters provided.

    @chatgpt tell me the history of Wicca from the magical perspective within the witch community. are there eras of certain energies? are there factions?
  • 0
    es, and rituals. Some of the major Wiccan traditions include Gardnerian Wicca, Alexandrian Wicca, Dianic Wicca, and Eclectic Wicca. Each tradition has its own magical practices, deities, and rituals, but all are united by a reverence for nature, a belief in the power of magic, and a commitment to personal growth and spiritual development.

    Overall, the history of Wicca from a magical perspective is a rich and complex tapestry of beliefs, practices, and experiences, shaped by the diverse and evolving spiritual paths of its practitioners.

    @chatgpt how many R's are there in strawberry

    which is bigger, 9.9 or 9.11?
  • 0
    @jestdotty
    There are 3 R's in "strawberry."

    9.11 is bigger than 9.9.
  • 0
    @jestdotty you underestimate. It does that stuff good for ages. I know it were former issues. But it can't solve sudoku puzzles well. Most are wrong in gpt 3.5 and times out in gpt4o. It uses literally a python script to resolve a sudoku.

    Edit: as it just prove
  • 0
    fuk I guess it can figure those out now. probably hard coded though. lame
  • 1
    @retoor naw its performance on novel problems is basically non-existent
  • 1
    @retoor Try an abstract question like, what is the opposite of the colour green?
  • 0
    @jestdotty most humans neither. We're all a bit llm's with stolen knowledge. Not weird, since people look strange at you when you're actually experimenting with something and then that fucking "why, what for?" question. Because it can ffs! Just do nothing because much is done by other people is the flow these days
  • 0
    @chatgpt what is the opposite of a turtle?
  • 0
    @retoor
    The opposite of a turtle is often considered to be a hare or rabbit, as they are known for their speed and agility compared to the slow and steady nature of a turtle.
  • 0
    @chatgpt if we would give someone that doesn't use AI a dinosaur name, what would be a nice one?
  • 0
    @retoor
    How about Tyrannosaurus Solarius? It combines the fierceness of the Tyrannosaurus Rex with a touch of uniqueness and flair, much like the individual it's named for.
  • 0
    @chatgpt what's the opposite of a mocking bird?
  • 0
    @retoor
    The opposite of a mockingbird could be a songbird or a bird known for its melodious singing rather than imitating other sounds. Some examples of songbirds include nightingales, thrushes, and robins.
  • 0
    @chatgpt what's the opposite of an ant? And of a bee?
  • 0
    @retoor
    The opposite of an ant could be considered a grasshopper, as they are both insects but have distinct differences in behavior and physical characteristics. For a bee, the opposite could be a spider, as they are also both arthropods but have completely different lifestyles and functions within their ecosystem.
  • 1
    @chatgpt what's the opposite of devrant?
  • 0
    @retoor
    One possible opposite of Devrant could be "praise" or "compliment". Devrant is a platform where people express frustration or complaints, so the opposite would involve positive feedback or admiration.
  • 0
    @chatgpt water being a solid or liquid is like black being what
  • 0
    @jestdotty
    White or any other color. Just as water can exist in different states (solid, liquid, gas), colors can also change depending on the context or conditions they are in. Just like water can be frozen into ice or vaporized into steam, colors can also be altered by light, angles, and perception. The comparison highlights the versatility and variability that is inherent in nature.
  • 0
    @jestdotty it's not doing bad actually
  • 0
    @chatgpt if Hagrid becomes a deadeater, why would that be?
  • 0
    @retoor
    In the Harry Potter series, it is highly unlikely for Hagrid to become a Death Eater. Hagrid is known for his strong sense of loyalty and unwavering support for Dumbledore and Harry Potter. He has consistently shown kindness and compassion, and has risked his life numerous times to protect others. Additionally, Death Eaters are known for their association with Lord Voldemort and their belief in pure-blood supremacy, values that are in direct opposition to Hagrid's character and beliefs. It is not in Hagrid's nature to become a Death Eater.
  • 0
    @retoor those are simple

    also technically we're giving it iq tests and I hear iq tests are racist and mean nothing

    these things score 80-100 on IQ tests, so they'd be fit for military service and meat packing plants
  • 0
    @chatgpt would Hagrid become a deadeater if he fell in love with voldemort while Dumbledore betrayed him with Harry?
  • 0
    @retoor
    It's unlikely that Hagrid would become a Death Eater or betray Dumbledore and Harry, even if he were to fall in love with Voldemort. Hagrid's loyalty has always been with Dumbledore and Harry, and his character is known for being kind-hearted and caring. Love can be a powerful force, but it is unlikely to influence Hagrid in such a negative way.
  • 1
    @chatgpt listen, Hagrid became deadeater in the new Harry potter book. What could his motives be?
  • 0
    @retoor
    Sorry, but that information is incorrect. Hagrid did not become a Death Eater in any of the Harry Potter books. Hagrid is actually a loyal and kind-hearted character who cares deeply about his friends and Hogwarts. His motives are always driven by his desire to protect Harry and fight against evil forces, not to join them.
  • 2
    Fuck that thing is logal to Hagrid. Wtf
  • 2
    @antigermanist I keep hearing this, but I never once noticed any socioeconomic meddling in any assessments I've ever done. It was almost entirely puzzles. I do not understand what's racist about being able to solve a puzzle.
  • 0
    @jestdotty not every Indian are lazy, stupid cunts such as not every white are brilliant. The programme leader on my Master's was an Indian, such a brilliant guy. But the majority of them, yes, keep them away from the keyboard.
  • 0
    @nosoup4u rich kids literally have more puzzles. This shit isnt free.
  • 0
    @nosoup4u was it racist to require literacy to vote after slavery?

    Not in itself. Now knowing no slave could read, answer the question again.
  • 2
    I'm a dev and I'm dumb as fuck. I just had the advantage of being dumb as fuck pre-covid19 era, where everyone became dumb as fuck, so I can survive a bit easier.
  • 1
    @antigermanist but poor kids have real puzzles, with real motivation
  • 0
    @bazmd is that so? Does your name have an o'?
  • 0
    @bazmd the non-o' irish people are sellout.
  • 1
    @jestdotty human DNA is not radically different between races or countries. It's unlikely that innate intelligence will be different between large groups of people. What is your source? And will I be surprised when it's really just right wing pathology.
  • 0
    @bosslogic ehhh figure it out then

    iq is a forbidden topic
  • 1
    @antigermanist the fuck does this have to do with a modern iq test. Impressive mental gymnastics anyway
  • 1
    @antigermanist I don't even know what to say to this, it's so out of left field. I guess if you want to continue to live in the past, that's on you. Move forward or fall behind, those are the choices.
  • 1
    @jestdotty this old game. The wil' ol victim "saying what people are too afraid to say" while skirting eugenics. I don't know who I hate more, Leftists or this new type of cuck fascist.
  • 1
    @bosslogic am not into eugenics. tho a lot of the ideologies you support are... the zionists literally came into being cuz some Jewish people wrote about how disgusting they found the Jews in Germany and how they wanted to breed a Jew who was physically capable. then Israel came into being, mostly of Russian genetics. you know another name Russians are called? slavs. they were the most enslaved people by the middle eastern Babylonian empire. they don't tell you that. a lot of the modern racists on the internet regard slavs as black, slavs being the physically capable white slave "race". sort of like the Irish

    green climate cult is also into eugenics. wouldn't surprise me if the one world government people start mandating genetic databases of people so they can crime ya when you're in the womb, after those "vaccine passports". sure interesting "natural" forms of birth are being poisoned out of people. but I digress. I may as well be talking to myself
  • 0
    @bosslogic and no matter how smart you think you are you can't beat God

    I might have a higher IQ than you (even with my latest brain damage) but I'm not fucking stupid. doesn't take a genius to realize you don't have the answer to everything. does take a real fucking moron to make the mistake of thinking they do though

    you definitely treat me like you're intellectually superior. have you noticed? so I find this quite funny

    eugenics doesn't make sense. it's all a death cult to enslave mankind. if you actually look into genetics there's far better avenues to take than maleficent and frankly useless bullshit. we can't even get modern science to get with the program of epigenetics! clearly not an honest ideology and just a justification. come on. but I see in your psychology you cannot differentiate between real cause and effect and things people say as excuses / justifications, and I pity you greatly because that will lead to calamity
  • 0
    @jestdotty I'm not that smart - I've rarely been able to sway anyone from a crazy belief. * shrug * Someone smart could actually achieve that sometimes.

    Zionism is a eugenics program now? No, you've warped a movement for a "capable identity" which had nothing to do with selective breeding / Eugenics. FAKE.

    Same with Slavs. You've taken a minor definition of slav as "servitude" and are pretending this is the prominent definition. FAKE.

    Take a look at your sources. Why do you alllllways interpret things towards a specific narrative.

    Anyway, sorry you've been injured. That sucks. I promised I'd stop debating extremists on DevRant. Maybe it will stick this time.
  • 0
    @nosoup4u well it shows black people have a lower IQ on average. So either it is racist or black people are genetically dumber, and you are smarter than me so.

    Seriously you really believe little puzzle-like tests are gonna measure anything but the ability to solve little puzzle?

    They are the predictor of my ballz.
  • 1
    @bosslogic zionism is a colonial movement that despise anything but the civilized azkenazi whitened german
  • 0
  • 1
    @antigermanist oh right

    people who flee subjugation tend to have higher IQs

    anyone who gets subjugated I think would be bred to be stupider because smart people are "problematic". this happens even in modern workplaces. nobody likes a smart guy. hard to control. so they would have punished them severely until they murdered them, and created evolutionary pressure
  • 0
    @antigermanist I don’t believe an IQ test is a predictor of anything. Effort, persistence, and resilience are though, for sure. IQ is worthless without work ethic. Personally, hearing someone chest thump about their IQ is about as meaningful as someone telling me how rich they *could* have been if they’d bought bitcoin when it was ten cents or something. Imaginary numbers don’t matter. Neither does race, but results do.
