netikras3518913d> What can be built
a car shredder. In every parking lot. If you leave your car for longer than 1 hour -- it's automatically shredded. -
donkulator286213d@max19931 To be fair, I would be wary of taking public transport if every neck-bearded weirdo could just walk into Tesco and buy a machine gun.
-
ishank-dev110613dWhat if there were a way to secure convenient parking spots right from an app? Think of it as a solution for those longer trips when public transport isn’t ideal. This service could help connect people looking for parking with owners of private spaces, allowing them to rent by the hour. It’s a win-win: travelers get hassle-free parking, and property owners make some extra income.
-
retoor1164513d@netikras 50 minute workday it is then! A car nearly always has a minimal worth of 500 in parts if not damaged. It's better that the car goes to them if parked longer than a hour so you have money for the bus, train and a sandwich during the half hour on your rental public transport bicycle every day
@ishank-dev good idea but people are unreliable and it's still quite a hustle unless you can find someone that allows you parking there daily. Public transport is never ideal compared to just driving. Only valid reason to go with it while having a car is the parking spot issue. I regularly took the bicycle because else I would loose my good parking spot and had to find a new one, often a place few hundred meters away from home. I only like to cycle < 30 minutes, more than that, I take car. Here in Europe they're working on car free cities and removing roads and parking spot. You see them disappear. In netherlands we don't have smog cities so what's the reason for this inconvenience -
retoor1164513d@donkulator nobody would fire at a bus, they're always full of students and losers. It would be mean to shoot at them. Here it's almost impossible to get a machine gun anyway. Drugs on the other hand, any type of drug is delivered faster than your pizza driver. They actually tested this with cocaïne
@max19931 yes, heard terrible things about it. Expensive as fuck around here also. Public transport can equal your rent and we're famous for expensive housing as well I do have to say, public transport is quite structured here, I think less issues than most countries. Dutch are bit like Germans regarding being on time -
Demolishun3468113d@retoor I got an email from my senator yesterday. He was saying that the drug trade is enabled by the federal government. Before the current admin we had 20 people die from fentanyl in a year. We are 200 per year now. Just one drug.
-
jestdotty521413dyou can build software but Google will fuck your ass for you accessing the data. can you imagine, they say if you cache the data from Google maps that violates their terms. so you are not allowed to cache their data. you must pay them some obscene amount per lookup that I forget now
this was always my issue when I looked into things. software is only as good as the data it has access to
which is annoying -
retoor1164513d@Demolishun yeah, I'm so scared that that drug will hit the Netherlands one day. Netherlands currently is a paradise comparing to stuff i see what that drug did to London / parts of America. We did have a heroin pandemic in the 70's that got resolved by spreading methadon for addicts making them functional again. I've never tried heroine because I've heard that no drug is like it and hate needles. Imagine fyntanyl 40 times stronger. It must feel amazing indeed, trying it is like with every drug, you can lose from it and do it frequently. From this one is the change to lose very high and nobody uses to become addicted right. America should pressure China to do smth about it and should also say to Mexico that they should check what they export, else no import anymore. Murica is with 70% or so Mexico's biggest importer. These are real issues that really makes people suffer. Who thinks about climate instead is crazy. Caring about climate is #1 first world problem. The luxory
-
jestdotty521413d@ishank-dev parking being difficult is a feature, not a bug
if you make it inefficient you can gouge people. make their willpower run out, they'll pay for exorbitant fees. maybe they'll spend more on the gas driving around to find parking than the actual parking! fun torture to train them to pay up -
jestdotty521413d@retoor removal of cars and making everything no car is for 2030 agenda. 15 minute cities. to get out you'll have to show your papers. this way everyone is in little prison cell blocks. the justification will be traveling far uses more carbon, but the reality is you get to isolate people not only technologically online but also prevent them from talking to another unless they're approved to talk to each other irl
also you can easily kill people this way. since it's a prison block, and if they have no food or water and you keep them locked in, tehe
remove cars you remove people's options of traveling far. then they become reliant on others for goods. they have to trust them. if the supply chain ever messes up people will be left helpless -- and as their club of Rome book says, then the populations of the earth will be dwindled down to 500m through limited wars, famines, and plagues -
retoor1164513d@jestdotty what you say is true, I'm sure that it's not to imprison us. What would the advantage be and why they would take away our goods. What do we have to do for it? Pay more? That they want that nobody leaves their house is already clear. Soon not your neighborhood. They just want less traffic on the streets and they're bullying to make it possible. I think less traffic and smog is only target, not having the option to lock us up in mind. Why people don't understand that some people prefer to be outside with other people
-
retoor1164513d@jestdotty they're already doing that, prices are crazy. You must drive a lot to make gass more expensive than the parking spot. Gas is not the issue of this situations. Parking further away from your destination prolly is cheaper when it comes to gas
-
feuerherz359413d@jestdotty i think the way american cities are at the moment is much more isolating. Imagine kids needing to drive every where by car. What a hell. I went everywhere i wanted by bike. Also travelling by train far is great. It isnt about removing cars either. Just cars for short commutes. At the current state a families may have two cars just to commute to work.
-
jestdotty521413d@retoor no you won't be able to pay your way out of it. everything of wealth is made illegal and everyone has to use programmable CBDC money that your country or the global world order controls
they want to isolate people from information and other people so they will be compliant slaves
the depopulation plan is to reduce the chance that someone will escape the prison, the propaganda bubble, ever notice the lies, etc. too many people means too much chaos, less people means less human creativity therefore you can control them easier -
jestdotty521413d@feuerherz now imagine crazy gas prices!
my bf is basically in debt eating like bulk bought chicken he finds in weird stores that he freezes, and he pays 10$ a day just to get to work cuz gas prices are so high. his work wanted a recommendation before they hired him from contractor to full-time and I had mentioned they should increase his salary in the rec. his boss said my recommendation was sweet, but ofc nothing happened. price of car insurance also went way up. now his rent is going up. he's already in debt. whatcha gonna do? it doesnt matter if you can drive if you can't afford to drive
I live in a winter climate. I havent paid my electricity before cuz it was the responsibility of my roommate, this was my first month. I shared how much it was with the bf, and he swore cuz.. he lives in California, in a smaller place, and his damned electricity bill is somehow higher, than me up here in Canada, on a top floor triplex not even an apartment complex where temperature is shared 🤷 -
retoor1164513d@jestdotty I don't think becoming slaves is a side thingy, not the main goal. Main goal is money, if there was a different way than makes us slaves, they would've done that. People more greedy than evil and I'm quite positive of the good will of average person
-
Demolishun3468113d@retoor try not paying income taxes. Now tell me you are not a tax slave.
I truly believe TPTB are willing to burn down whole cities to create 15 minute cities. -
retoor1164513d@jestdotty in debt because eating chicken.. How can someone eat himself in debt. That's only possible if life was too expensive already. Let me guess, does have the newest iPhone, an Audi a Playstation? Everyone should make enough for food
-
retoor1164513d@Demolishun I'm fine with tax, but why so much. We're si proud to be one of richest countries. How could you be proud if making the government rich by getting screwed. People here are not rich at all but on average most are doing well to very well. Very rich or very poor is both not that common
-
jestdotty521413d@retoor they print the money so they use the money as leverage then say see it's capitalists
you can't be a good person if you're in survival mode. then the choice is be good or die -
jestdotty521413d@retoor unironically he has a car payment cuz people kept running into his car, and I think that's eating a lot of it and what caused him to go into debt
he's got a PC he built 10 years ago
and I don't think people buy phones anymore. the phone comes with the phone plan and they just switch it out for you. he keeps throwing it apparently but I don't think he's replaced it other than when his phone plan told him to. he'd probably just repair it anyway cuz he's into that
sometimes I've had to watch him not eat anything for a week every few months cuz he couldn't afford food, so that bulk chicken store has been great. the guy eats less than I do which I think is kinda fucked up, cuz he's like 6'3" and built with wide shoulders, used to play hockey. like how can you be eating less protein than my 5'8" 120 lb ass? interestingly he just gets fat. something wrong with American food. but then he works out... but you don't have the food for muscles ??? -
retoor1164513d@jestdotty if we would be locked up with rats these days, they would eat us, dead already by starving, instead of we them. We ended up lower in the food chain. Sad story, smth is fundamently wrong with people. What survival mode is left in us
-
retoor1164513d@jestdotty starving on food is the worst thing I can imagine. Rather debt than being hungry all the time. If you don't have money for food, the easiest way is going in debt to get it but it's extreme
-
retoor1164513d@jestdotty do amphetamine. It's cheaper and you barely need to eat anymore. On top of that it's fun with coding. You should buy it now, all those advantages..
-
jestdotty521413d@retoor tbh I should smoke weed again
I could code very fast on it for whatever reason
idk
or maybe figure out a self therapy instead
fuck I hate debugging this code. I hate debugging code when I'm reasonably sure the bug didn't come from me. so demotivating. also when it has to do with the data and I don't have easy access to the data to debug what went wrong. I was just expecting it to work! -
jestdotty521413d@retoor same thing
I've been cleaning my place mostly so haven't had time
I was rewriting this Solana address miner thing into a GUI, and making the custom async threads system I made to send proxies out to gather data use rust's async
all that works now -- like the proxies, http requests parsing, sockets database file stuff so I know which are good and not
so I was building a new address object. and then a stats struct that would be made from the address but there's discrepencies in the stats object that shouldn't be there so now I'm trying to debug it and I hate it (it could be not me but me getting bogus data, I have some oddities in the data gathering seemingly)
after that I can make the GUI display (for monitoring one address) and redo my "peek" script (which now I'm calling scout) that just downloads address data, makes stats per address, then sorts the address according to what the stats said into other files -
jestdotty521413d@retoor I kinda burnt out on the whole thing anyway
having odd brain issues past month that don't allow me to focus. started playing sudoku and seems like my brain gets better with training, so makes me think I should play some brain-active games for a bit
I also stopped taking tryptophan pills and I wonder if the misery of low serotonin is necessary for clarity of thought -- people who take SSRIs do say it makes their brains foggy
I also been drinking hibiscus and it lowers blood pressure... which gave me a lot of pain when my BP dropped but now I wonder if that contributed to brain issues to some degree -
jestdotty521413d@retoor I just paid off all my bills and it was a lot... cuz had to buy so much cleaning stuff. uegh. so maybe I'll start worrying about that. maybe brain training phase then finding a job would be best? idk. it's complicated cuz PTSD. bf was very sweet, kind of gave me an angle for self-therapy. idk if I have time to try it or not. I have emotional issues that effect motivation
also apparently witchcraft is just insane self-care routines all of the time
I've had the PTSD ever since the job... like 8 years ago now. I can force myself through willpower past it but I've basically never been the same. i've felt like that whole thing had broke me. I used to think roommate and I were friends but turns out he dismissed my issues, and now that he's gone I realize I think he took advantage of me being helpless in that way and now that I know I'm not like... locked in place. but it's been so long since I've been normal idk what normal even meant -
the problem is that cars as the main mode of transportation is an unsustainable model. there is not enough space, traffic will always be shit and you're kinda stuck having to use a car anyway because you don't have a reliable alternative. if people invested in public transportation and walkable spaces it would be much different, but y'know, lobby, politics and stupidity in the way
-
retoor1164512d@jestdotty I feel good myself since a few months. Won't work soon tho, I enjoying current time way too much. I'm sure that it can be years before I have so much time as now again, so let's not start to soon. It's sad to spend all my energy on work while feeling good again.
You need to relax, but you can't force that. It's like being worried that you can't sleep and can't sleep because you worry about it. A new hobby / interest could kickstart your brain.
Sudoku is fun, why don't you write your own sudoku solver in the best possible way? That tincludes making multiple versions and stuff. Nice project -
retoor1164512d@darksideofyay they're here working hard on walkable car free cities.
Car became drama, it's way worse than ten years ago on the road. You would think that homeworking resulted iin way less cars on the road -
jestdotty521412d@retoor sudoku solver feels like cheating actually
for the address thing? just dumping stuff in files
historically? I made a database that dumped stuff into git gists / gitlab snippets as a database I wouldn't have to pay for. had CI/CD propagate ssh keys to the server so it could do that, back when heroku hadn't banned me yet cuz evidently hosting a YouTube music ripper website makes me a criminal
historically I used tingodb and it has the same compatibility as mongodb just saves in files so you don't need to run a whole database software, ended up never getting too big for me to need to switch for the most part. I know everybody hates those. I've used all the sqls cuz had to support them once but they suck I think. my brain thinks more in json. haven't used whatever the graphql and vector dbs are
