We delete just all the comments of users created on a given date.. So even commenting on old rants like you do now doesn't help! Sad for effort.

1. Current bots are made on a certain date.

2. You said they we should be prepared for the shit storm that is coming. For what it's worth, current situation is easy revertible but still could be considered 'a shitstorm'. Infecting old rants in comments..

3. The change that two different people customizing their whole bot network to spam on one site isn't very high.

4. The current attacker knows very well how the anti-spam system works and exploits the only hole it had left.

5. It has to be you.

Sad, thought we maybe had a new dev member buy you were just social engineering. I'm very positive about people, I decide that it's better to be screwed over a few times than never trust someone. That doesn't change.

Some of the anti spam bots have creative names now created with https://random-name.molodetz.nl. They're always unique. But the faker I use, is used by spammer of many years ago on this site too. I once had a username already in use error. Heh. At least they know their tools.

@retoor All my bots are sleeping. What someone posts somewhere is not me. Whether you believe me or not is not important. I already gave you advice on how to stop this. Install the noindex tag for Google bot on all tirades and spammers will see this and this site will not be interesting to them. Also, the tool you need is a ban on ahrefs bots (if you are not familiar with this tool, then here is "here I wanted to insert a link to the ahrefs tool, but for some reason the message did not go away)." ) This is how your site is found by other spammers for even more spam.

@Mikol how did you find such collection so fast? I run basically a copy of this site. Didn't know about ahrefs. I'm in web application development. More intrawebs, no SEO stuff.

I also had to do a trick to insert links to rants you need to pay attention to. Because this account could not be done. These are just some of the rants I found in a minute. Give your bot a "search" task using the keywords "essay" and "casino" for example, and find all the spam that provokes a potential spammer to register here.

@Nanonoko thanks will add it to the list, I have tables with all spam comments / accounts. Will do new spam first tho - before it gets indexed by Google.

Also, I ditched the retoor account before this one and before that bevause too much weird shit. I think this account got it worse now 🤣

It's better to delete it in general. Hiding is useless. It's possible that there are even many hidden messages now that spammers intentionally hide from us immediately after publication in order to remove their minuses later so that the comment can reappear. Moreover, hiding a message in a tirade does not delete the comment from the user's profile, which, as we all know here, is visible without authorization. Why don't you just ask the site admin to reward you with moderation buttons?

@Nanonoko a few offered that to site administrator but with no success. He's busy man. But he does delete if asked or when there is sus behavior mentioned. I inventarise all spam comments with rant ID and comment ID. I have a huge json file soon that I will deliver for deletion. But for now down voting. Every bit helps and it's fun to work on. I feel 15 again.

They do remove the -- later. I have a complete list of rants where that happens to.

@Nanonoko I have an application monitoring exactly the rants once deleted and became active again. Once they were all -2 or more. Now they're zero again (first digit).

@retoor I am still surprised that you do all this without any salary from the administrator. Active members of this site are simply obliged to have your account number to thank you. I do not do anything for free now, simply because I used to do it all the time. As a result, it is perceived as if it is your duty. And as a result, it is devalued. Haha, yes, I feel a bit responsible. It's sad that such a beautiful site is left unmanaged. I think it's perfect. Wouldn't change a thing in exception of no user creation within the API, captcha on user registration, two registrations per IP per day and code blocks in rants. Maybe even some markdown support for bold, italic, stripe trough and underlined, bullet points. Maybe a poll/vote system. Good that they mark images. What would you change about the site?

Woesjjj. The chance that they come with more than three is quite rare. This is a pool of 15 or so.

The spamming goes hardcore. By the menion I keep nice up to date and know if I should add some bots to the pool. I don't add to many to not bash the server what I already hardcore did btw. Maybe I would get rather a ban instead of a thank you :P

But NO. I'm Dutch as F but worked in Ukraine. Did had a partner from there and a refugee. Ukraine and their people have a place in my heart. Whatever happens, doesn't matter how terrible it is, Ukrainians always "yeah,, that life." and they move on. @retoor It was only this year that I realized that I wanted to get more out of life than just working in front of a monitor all day. I finally started traveling. I've been to the seaside twice in half a year. Now I'm working on finally stopping working and starting to live this life... Unfortunately, we never know which day is our last... Some people have "alarm bells" in the form of diagnoses, like your friend. And for others, "bang" and it's the end.

@Nanonoko that's true. My dad is inthe sixties and he sees all his friends getting issues and stuff. Yh, we get old these days but not without some issues. But he does his pension very well. Pension can be amazing time. I just found a new business what will make a lot for sure. Directly started on it. Week programming I guess. Kinda dropshipping. This can't fail.

Now someone has given me minuses on those useful messages where I helped with finding spam messages and spam users. Congratulations, it is impossible to communicate here without spam - it turns out no one likes it. I'll go to work...

@Nanonoko don't worry, I have them ;) Spam bot filtered on users < x reputation and sharing links. You had some spambots with high upvote count so x was high, higher than your score. I have made AI version to recognize spam and it works well: https://molodetz.nl/retoor/gists/...

But it's too slow. So I trained a model myself, but it's too inacurrate. I'm waiting on my books 'neural networks' and that will learn me the right way and lighter way to do it. I have so much test data. Wieuw. I can make it perfect maybe.
