Sidenote: I'm enjoying my really expensive coffee tho.

$5 is not even that expensive

Lol for Starbucks $5 is nothing.

This is why I prefer soda for my caffeine. $3 gets me a 12 pack of cans.

    I'd buy coffee machine instead.

@Null-Device I drink Pepsi 0. Supposedly has 0 sugar and has 2x the caffeine as a result. Fucking awesome stuff.

@localjoost Far from it pal. But Starbucks is a high quality coffee shop and getting a cup for $5 from there is cheap. I've seen friends leave there with a $10 cup of coffee before.

@jhh2450 Damn what kind of coffee is that. I had a medium caramel cappuccino

Where I live they have this cool promotion, a coffee and a donut for $1.5 cents it's cool because the barista gifted me this member card and after N stars I get a free meal or a free coffee.
I enjoy it, it's about the same price as the campus coffee but it's better, they have better internet, ac and comfy chairs so it's my default place to go study between classes.

I love being Italian just for coffee priced < 1€
  • 1
@localjoost Not a clue. Don't drink it, so I don't bother knowing what it is lol

    @JKyll sounds comfy

    @iamgio I loved the coffee in north-Italy!

    I prefer G-Fuel...
About the same caffeine, $30 per tub (tho $40 when including shipping...) which gives you about 40-50 servings...
Also, tastes a lot better imo (I dun like coffee)

Pretty sure at 5$ for a coffee you already got fucked. Hopefully they took you out for dinner first

@jhh2450 pepsi 0 - zero sugar, zero calories and zero taste? ;)

    @mlask Ehh I've had worse.

Sam's Cola from Walmart has less taste lol

@Null-Device I'm American, but before I saw a "guide to coffee types" chart on Tumblr, I had never even heard of Americanos. I've also never, ever heard someone order one before, nor seen them on a menu. Ever.

According to a barista friend, they are on Starbucks' menu, but people almost never order them (2-3 sold in over six months)

@Root whaaaa thats the most popular coffee here

@Root Americanos have a very interesting story. apparently, 2id soldiers stationed in France where 2ID was born(second to none!! HOOAH!) would water down the French coffee with hot water, thus they started to call that style Americanos.

@sharktits honestly I have no idea.

@localjoost for that money, you better enjoy your Starbucks coffee at least 4 times as much as a regular cup of coffee.
  • 2
Nothing beats an Italian coffee. I don't see the point of going to Starbucks when there's much better than that.
  • 3
Someone up there said that Starbucks is a high quality coffee shop. Well let me tell you my friend, it's high prices but you definitely didn't taste a quality cup of coffee before in your life.
  • 1
@irene starbucks is quality because im a basic bitch okay?
  • 2
20 cents for the best espresso in the world on every street corner in Bulgaria.

20 cents and it's fucking delicious.

The vast majority of the, "coffee" people get at Starbucks is so sugared and creamed up that they're basically just getting a $7 hot milkshake.

Back in college me and my group of 4 drove 20 minutes to a Starbucks on a promotion giving free black coffee. We went there ordered the free coffee and nothing else. Stayed there for a while enjoying the aesthetics of the location and left.

@irene So, what time at your place can I get a coffee? 😃
  • 2
    Try a Nitro Cold Brew.

It's like drinking a Guinness but it's Coffee.

I went for an Nespresso machine while living in Hong Kong, the coffee shops all consider Starbucks and their extortionate prices as the MacDonald’s of coffee and charge accordingly. The cheapest option was to drop a few hundred dollars on a machine and pump out coffees at home. A Home office helps I guess!

Is it good at least? D:

And they don't get the fucking concept of someone wanting 'a coffee'

    My first experience:
Me: hi I'd like a coffee please!
Cashier: what kind of coffee do you want?
    Me: just a coffee!
Cashier: yeah but what kinda coffee?
    Me: just coffee?!
Cashier: yeah but like with caramel or something etc?
    Me: no, just COFFEE
    Cashier: milk or sugar?
Me: no I just want a coffee!!!
Cashier: so you mean like without anything like caramel?
    Me: yes!?!
    Cashier: Wait so no latte?
Me: NO JUST A COFFEE!!! BLACK COFFEE.

HOW FREAKING HARD CAN THE WORD 'COFFEE' BE?!
