Why in God's name would anyone use SOAP over Rest......

    I prefer clean code over clean bodies. This explains why im single, but that leaves me more time for coding.

    Because that 3rd party is a dinosaur,
    Hell I would take a bar of SOAP over a plain text file via FTP(not s)! at times.

    @C0D4 I did a project where the “API” were zip files uploaded over ftp, the zip file contained some images and an xml file using ISO 8859-1.

    I set up a separate server for their system to upload their files, then my script would just rsync all zip files, extract them, convert the xml file to UTF-8 and then pass it to my api for the website, and finally delete the zip and extracted content
