Demolishun3558711hSo I learned 2 things I never thought I would hear about tech. No idea if true or not.
1. there was an OpenAI whistleblower
2. this whistleblower is dead
The only thing that comes close to that is Aaron Schwartz. Funny business going on with that. At least that I have heard about. -
Demolishun3558711hI feel like this AI on 24/7 is going to be how @retoor gets ratted out to the police or something.
-
@Demolishun he was murdered for something that isn't an industry secret though...
also oddly violent murder
makes me think it was more personal than related to legal things. it makes no sense. of course AI is violating copyright. all the models are based on it lol, it's not a secret -
ars140955h@Demolishun he just had an ordinary case of suicide by shooting himself in the back from another building and leaving no suicide note
-
retoor24395h@netikras you're the first one who said that to me in more than 15 years. I'm almost emotional.
Project escalated to working web version with microphone. It's not my own assistant that can do everything like looking things up on Google and deploy my server and goes to sleep / wakes up on command but it's a nice demonstration of the power of my ragent lib and speech api. -
retoor24394hThere's no better place for AI not resources than molodetz atm. Yeah, it says more about other sites than mine but it contains everything to make decent AI stuff that works and actually have benefit. It's a compilation of a lot of study but especially testing. I have more time than most people do this stuff.
-
retoor24394h@netikras made it even nicer with information how you get this complete functionality for free using ollama with some small mods. I didn't build it in myself because I don't have dem hardware to run a decent model locally more than 3b or so. Gemma2 is quite alright tho.

kekayan7When you wanted to know deep learning immediately
Ok, it costed me a whole night but I finally made the perfect OpenAI agent manager for all purposes using Python!
It's open source and a finished product. It's tested quite well. I will use this as base for my perfect working assistant that communicates trough the wireless JBL Go! speaker on my desk. It reacts to everything it hears until I ask it to go to sleep until I tell it to wake up. That's the mute mode. I never have to touch or click anything. 24/7 active.
It can be an assistant, but also a companion like Replika. Replika is normally very expensive, with my library nothing and it has great benefits like a perfect memory. Original Replika is a goldfish in comparison to this one.
It's also possible to create a custom RAG within minutes!
Check it out, it was never easier: https://molodetz.nl/retoor/ragent
