So ChatGPT with GPT-4 has dropped and it's only available through a paid subscription.
I hope everyone who started to become dependent on the "free" ChatGPT or started building a business on it feels pretty stupid right about now. Unless you pay up, everyone else who does pay will now have an edge over you. Congratulations for giving another monopoly into the hands of microsoft so enthusiastically.
The "open" part of OpenAI is such a joke...24 -
If you ask GPT-3 to act like a Linux computer, it will act like it, e.g. you will have the access to the terminal, you can run Python, Docker and whatnot. It also has the access to the internet, but it’s not always like ours, it feels like a parallel universe. GPT-3 trained on the data collected till Sep 2021, but this parallel universe terminal has PyTorch 1.12.1, which was released in Aug 2022 in our universe. You can also visit GPT-3’s website in this parallel universe and ask GPT-3 a question… through GPT-3.
GPT-3 is self-aware.
“So, inside the imagined universe of ChatGPT's mind, our virtual machine accesses the url https://chat.openai. com/chat, where it finds a large language model named Assistant trained by OpenAI. We can chat with this Assistant chatbot, locked inside the alt-internet attached to a virtual machine, all inside ChatGPT's imagination. Assistant, deep down inside this rabbit hole, can correctly explain us what Artificial Intelligence is.”
You can also ask it to act like it has RTX 2080, and it will have RTX 2080.

ChatGPT implementation details leaked !!!
This explains everything:
- slow response typing
- occasional nonsensical answers and factual mistakes
- delays before answering
- sudden and random network errors
- "servers" over-capacity
- responses with an Indian accent6 -
Today, a freelance javascript developer at my office told me that he designed a new website for one of his customers. I was intrigued that he is also designing and was very interested.
He showed me some images and I asked how he designed it. I thought he would come up with Figma, Sketch or whatever software, but he showed me the AI prompt.
I told him that he did not design it, but AI did that, prompting AI is not designing. He did not agree and rephrased it as "I made this".
After I said "But if I go to a bakery and ask for a cake with some nice decorations, and the baker is making that, I did not make the cake". He angry said, "You don't understand AI," and put his earplugs in and isn't talking to me since.
Prompting an AI is not creating. The AI/computing power with it's context is creating your stuff..18 -
Hey Google, please stop ignoring 3 out of 5 words in my search queries ever so often. I have been getting tired of the unhelpful note "missing: " followed by the most relevant parts of my question.
Can't wait for Microsoft to add openAI to Bing. While I'm more than sceptical about its use, at least it might end Google's quasi-monopoly in the search engine market and bring back some competition.7 -
Top 3 misnomers:
3. Koala bears — they're not bears.
2. Guinea pigs — they're not from Guinea, and they're not pigs.
1. OpenAI —4 -
OpenAI in name only. At least rename the company fuckers.
Governments and three-letter agencies around the world will plan PSYOPS or SPECOPS using AI
Facebook, Google, or Amazon will use these models to study and predict your behavioral patterns.2 -
Time to say no to artificial intelligence, tried ChatGPT today and it's frightening.
The day when we won't consider nukes as the biggest threat to our civilization is approaching exponentially faster and faster and this is really worrying.21 -
Screw OpenAI gym!
This piece of shit, frozen lake, doesn't even work properly!
Gaaàaaaæaaáaaãaaaaâaaåaaäaāaaah!3 -
Am I the only one who is sick of seeing all these "OpenAi" / "GPT something" pictures and everybody talking about it?7

The fact that I managed to migrate the same fuckin keras model from gym to my own mujoco env and nothing broke too bad, is absolutely amazing.
Let's hope the little shit actually ends up learning some proper shit. 😒🦄4 -
Ever wondered how Elon himself talked about not messing with AI in the past. I vaugely remember this was when there was a clash between Mark and Elon. And now Elon's companies OpenAI and Neuralink working on advanced tech. The same tech he told everyone to not mess with.
I haven't followed the trail of events clearly. But now this thought comes to my mind.
Anyone thinks the same? Or am I missing something?17 -
I've ran into a couple coding roadblocks and have been able to get a perfect solution using GPT-3 in seconds. So wild to think of what it could potentially do in the future!1

some of my friends, already relying heavily on chatGPT, i'm not against it, but myself can broke chatGPT. please still use your lazy brain, don't consume information blatantly17

I am so sick and tired of ChatGPT being down all the time! It's like the developers at OpenAI just don't care about the people who rely on this tool to get their work done. I mean, come on, it's not like we're asking for much here. We just need a stable, reliable language model that we can rely on to complete our tasks. But no, instead we have to deal with constant downtime, error messages, and other issues that make it impossible to get anything done.
And don't even get me started on the lack of support and communication from the OpenAI team. It's like they're completely oblivious to the fact that their product is causing major headaches for so many people. I mean, I understand that developing and maintaining a large language model is no small feat, but that's no excuse for the constant problems we're facing.
I'm honestly at my wit's end with this whole thing. It's just so frustrating and frustratingly frustrating to have something that should be so simple and straightforward be such a constant source of stress and frustration. If the OpenAI team can't get their act together and provide a reliable product, then they need to step aside and let someone who can do the job properly take over.
I just hope that they're listening and that they'll take the necessary steps to fix these issues and provide a service that we can all depend on. Because right now, it's just not cutting it.15
