Anyone used Flutter yet? Planning to build an App, but don't want to have to write for both platforms. Can you launch Android Activities, i.e. specialised camera activity?1

When the fuck did valet go from .dev to .test. Fucked me over bug time. Needed up breaking dnsmasq and had to rest the whole system. Sys noob. I can program though 😂

I despise university. Since I went there, I have stopped learning exciting and new technologies. Instead, I do mips, lisp and Java.
I mean I wouldn't mind java, but it's boring repetitive crap. Making stupid simulations - all the fucking time.
I can not be bothered to learn this shit anymore. It's not worth 9k a year.
I'm lost. I don't know what to do. I can not physically do this anymore.
Edit:
Also, I hate this industry. All they want is a cs degree u til you have 2 years experience and then fuck it. It's a 50 k passport... wtf.3 -
Hello everybody,
I have an idea for an app and waned to get your opinion on what I should use.
I have experience in Java and ReactJs, but nothing in Swift.
So, I want to know what you all would suggest - should I use React Native or Java and Swift to create both my android and iOS app? I have read mixed reviews concerning React Native and its use longterm? However, it seems like its the easier options to push out both and Android and iOS app.
I'm very unsure, any suggestions would be much appreciated.6 -

I have a question. I currently use PHP when creating my API's, however, I am unsure wether to move on from it. I use either laravel or lumen to do so and use vuejs for the client apps. I am proficient in Java and JavaScript and wondering wether I should move over to spring/spark or express. I have been programming for almost 10 years now and just finished my first year in uni. I want to appeal to employers for my placement year and I know they look down on php. So, should I go with java spring/spark or express ? Other suggestions are welcome!6

Have you ever thought about quitting coding and going down another career path? You can't. Coding is a desease that sits in you giving you urges to code. Never thought about it until now, but I could never stop coding!4

When someone writes a JUnit test that passes, when the code is completely wrong. I hate group work.1

Creating an API is not too difficult. However, OAuth2.0 is a bitch. Who the hell thought this was reasonable?4

OK, I have a dilemma and I need some developers helps. I'm going to tell you about myself. I am 19 and have been programming since I was 11. I consider myself a full stack web developer and that is where my passion lies... I love web development. The problem is that I am currently studying comp sci at a top 10 uni and I don't really like it. I kind of enjoy it, however, I am mostly doing it for the degree because my goal is to move to the valley (currently in the UK). I'm not sure whether I should pursue this degree because it's interesting and tbh I might just need time to get used to uni life or should I just go for it in the industry?6 -
I got the Note 7 a couple weeks ago (the reissue). Now, as you all know it's blowing up again. So, I went to return it but they said no. No? They said I can only get another Note and that will take 4 weeks. Seriously. So the options:
1. Have no phone for a month
2. Blow up
I think I'm edging towards blowing up.2 -
