I was listening to an interesting lecture recording, but threw the entire thing out the window once my "umm" meter ran out and gave errors.

Stop saying "umm" in every fucking sentence! 🤬

We have a new employee originally from Columbia. He says "eem" all the time while talking. I don't know if its a cultural thing or what. Sometimes it annoys the fuck out of me. He is legitimately really smart and kind person. I am sure I have quirks that annoy people too. (For some people I hope so.)

    But umm...

Some people are just slow :) Then uuuuuhhmm

Or mouth smacking. There are things I will die not knowing because the people that made those tutorials think that punctuating their sentences with mouth noises makes them sound contemplative or sophisticated.

@NoMad life is an endless problem that spawns more problems

@Demolishun, it's a common thing for people who don't speak English as their native language.

Sometimes our mind knows what to say but forming sentences with the right words takes time especially when you are in some official/work related talk.

just consider this as buffering. If same thing they have to speak in their own language, they can speak more clear and faster.

    There's a worst kind I encountered recently:
Spamming "and then go ahead and..." between every single sentence.

Definitely not about to breach the Genova convention

@jestdotty true, and solving those problems results into happiness. Source: "The subtle art if not giving a F". Great book.

Bought that book three times and it's gone again. People keep borrowing the book since my heavy promotion. Why do my marketing skills cost money instead of raising it? Dammit
