It's interesting that by looking at the Feedback Hub you can see this bug has been known for more than a month now, and they still can't fix it... They released at least 3 updates of Visual Studio in the meantime, and the installer is still bugged.

And ofc it's not a critical bug, but it's still ridiculous.

That's what you call = download overflow.

It's already have an open issue on user voice and the reason for this is because some packages are downloaded from remote source and updater can't get their file size, so it can't know total size of an update.

@Ma30h Seems a valid reason, but still, can't they add a size value to the updates when it's impossible to calculate it in runtime?
Having a progress bar become useless otherwise.

The installer only estimates total size since it's a lot of packages. Seems fine to me.
