I'm flying Lufthansa right now, and if the wifi on this plane is indicative of German wifi, my rants will become much much much angrier... this is absurd.

How bad are we talking? I've experienced bad that was like 1-2 mbps.

Then I've experienced 10 kbps on top of the connection being absolute shit. Nothing sucks more than the wifi disconnecting in the middle of a game.

You are hurtling through the sky in a metal tube, with warm air and refreshments. You even have a functioning lavatory. Frankly, it is astonishing we can have an internet connection at all on such a ridiculous contraption.

@Stuxnet I don't know what I'm going to do about mobile data over here. I've used an average of 27 GB of data per month over the last few months... and I won't have unlimited anymore most likely

Luckily I'm introverted so I never go out. I'm always on campus or at my apartment with wifi.

The uplink is probably satellite, so the latency is shit. The ping has to go up to space and back down again, and then so does the reply.

German internet is shit. Good luck. I was dying inside while i was there. Also the connection dies drop iut frequently. And they pay 5x more for 150x less speed than me.

I've got Spotify premium, so no data used for music. As I said, I'm always near a wifi connection. Half the time when I'm in a car ride, we're going through "BFE" and there's no such thing as a signal, so I can't even use it if I wanted to. Uhh what else... I cut data off with my GPS since I downloaded the area where I live.

It's actually not hard to live with just 2. Don't get me wrong, I'd love unlimited. But it's almost twice as much as what 4 is. And as I said, 4 will still be plenty.
