Tried Asphalt 9 today.

You can’t actually steer. It’s a racing game. You can’t steer. Game steers for you.

I’m leaving this planet.

    So what exactly are you doing in this game then? Dafuck.

    Code driven racing game? Take me with you, nothing else to do on this planet

    Edit:

    Wait! That's AI driven game lol

    That's because all these mobile 'games' for android/iOS are not worth the label game. They are nothing more than money grabs except a very, very few exceptions that are decent

    @theKarlisK and runs on IoT inside containers lol

    @theKarlisK and some micro services cuz why not?

    It also connects to the cloud via a REST API (that actually isn't one)

    Maybe turn off TouchDrive? You can steer in this game but it's not the default settings.

    You can change it back to manual steering, but by default it's now automatically steered, and even in manual mode it accelerates automatically

    @tyrogge @david-hil it’s dumb anyway

    I just checked it out too, 10 minutes ago. I was like you have got to be kidding me. You can actually enable steering in the settings but what is even the point of the game anymore at this point?!

    You know... I don't mind it. It's a great entrance for the casual gamer who's never played racing games before. From a business point of view, it's genius. Not only can anyone play your game, but you'll get more people playing it, which in turn drives more ad revenue. So is it lame for those who have played racing games? Damn right it is. But it's got a winning formula for getting in the money... So I really can't argue against something that gets money.

    Have you played nfs 2015? The cars steer out of drifts there, too.

    Need for speed is a game where it all comes down to style. Could it be that it's rather un-stylish when i try to pull a long sick drift when the fucken thing is actually incontrollable and crashes into the next wall? Yes.

    Racing games became shit. Someday they thought the only thing you actually really have do as a player needs to be stripped away with weird ass auto breaking and steering. Don't get it at all.
