I got a rejection email today. No feedback. And that's it.

Worst part of rejection is not knowing the reasons.

Dick recruiters. We always call and tell them what they can improve.

If they give any reason, they might run legal risks of getting sued, so they just don't. It's already a lot if they give rejection feedback at all.

Assuming that you have the skills for the job, the most difficult part is the cover letter because it has to be individual for each application. It has to answer two main questions in a few sentences:

1) why do want this specific job?

2) why should the company hire you?

Better than not hearing anything back at all.. god i hate that

Last year, after an Internship, I was refused a job.

During the evaluation they never said a bad word about what I've done and only congratulated me.

But they did say they were not looking for hiring in that moment.
And hired the very next person.

@Fast-Nop what do you mean by this "...they might run legal risks of getting sued..." why would they be sued?
They are simply telling you what you did wrong, right.

@Banele because of anti discrimination laws when the rejected applicant thinks or feels it was discrimination. Since the company has nothing to win by stating reasons, but could run into legal trouble, it's in their best interest not to give reasons. Makes life easier for them.

@Fast-Nop I see now. I actually didn't see any reason that may lead to legalities.
